Here the full video of my performance at TEMOM Monday night! It was a blast playing live. I had a prepared patch and sequenced lines, and the fun thing that happened was when I triggered the drum machine it was set to a different pattern than I expected! 😬So it really went in a different (and good, I think) direction. Than anticipated.
Framework produces laptops that are #modular, easily #repairable and #configurable. Just imagine: you can even decide on which side the charging port should go - just by switching out a module. Crazy I know.
With their new model, they are also partnering with #AMD.
If I need to buy a new laptop, this one will definitely be it.
I was working a lot on my #eurorack clock module (yeah, the one I've been posting about since January) while I was taking a break from social networks. But this time I'm preparing for a first (small) production run, and if everything goes well it'll hit the shelves somewhere this fall. And it's finally got a "normal" name, so I can stop referring to it as "my eurorack clock module" 😂 It'll be Gravity by Sitka Instruments

So I'm trying to get ~ 40 streams today to continue a streak (and to continue to expose my work to new audiences of course) and to help that happen, I'm going to do a guided tour of my #discography. Hopefully, even if you're somewhat familiar with my work you'll find something new of interest and check it out!

First, here's "Alien Music Box," the first thing I ever released under this project. It's a long, slowly evolving piece of true ambient-- fully beatless, with only the faintest pulse. It's very pretty and I find it invariably calming to listen to.
For the nerds out there, this is a recording of a #modular patch, one of my very first. The name reflects my first impression of the modular synth-- a weird, alien music box that you could "wind up" and listen to for hours...
For a deep dive into the weirder, wilder and more experimental side of my work, check out The Alchemical Practice of Modular Synthesis. It's a four track collection of experiments I did in modular, working on developing new sound design and composition techniques.
It's #abrasive, unpredictable and fairly non musical, but if you like weird, loopy stuff, you might dig it. Also worthwhile for #modular synthesists looking to expand their techniques!

@forestine@flockofnazguls a very nice free ebook on things to do with the THAT analog computer. Some of this stuff is simple enough to be done on a proto or breadboard and integrate into a modular synth.
