Finished boneyard sweethearts! This is the perfect festival sweater as I used yarn from many small dyers for the color work. The base yarn is a sturdy and snuggly Romney from Apple Creek Merinos. #knitting#knittersofmastodon
Hot Off The Needles and already on the frogging block. (1 of 3)
This is the Little Lace Scarf by Lisa Hannes.
TBVH, I dislike the finished object. The pattern is great, the design is too, but I realized now that my yarn was not ideal for the project. I used Knitting for Olive Pure Silk, which is, as the name suggests, 100% silk. Which means, it is crazy soft and drapey. Not good for something that is long and narrow.

I’m really sorry I don’t love this scarf at all. I feel like I wasted a lot of time doing it. Maybe I would have been happier had I used a rounder, plumper yarn instead and it’s not as long. (I measured the finished scarf and it’s more than 2.5 meters long tip to tip. Oh, my goodness.)
Once I’m ready, I will frog it and make another Silke by Justyna Lorkowska. I think that design and this yarn should be a better fit. #knitting#philippines#knittersofmastodon
I completed the body of my DaleGarn Nagano 1998 ski team sweater (jumper if you're English). Frankly one of the most enjoyable knits I've done in quite some time.
Once in a while I get it in my head that I want to knit socks. (On a scale of 1 to 10, I am a 2 as a sock knitter. I just don't enjoy it.)
And once in a while I get rewarded with something nice and functional, like this pair of Sake Socks (free pattern by Jackie Tabor). I like how easy it is to wear them with flip flops. #knitting#knittersofmastodon
I've picked up a WIP that I've been avoiding for a while.
It's a shawl in a long banana shape, and the main part has garter stitch, twisted ribbing and lace which is completed.
Now I'm up to the lacy border, worked sideways and knitted onto the body as you go.
I've never joined this way so had been putting off knitting.
Bit the bullet today and started. Done the first set of rows of 28 sets and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is.
Yes, I have oodles of knitting WIPs but as usual I started something else. 😂
I thought I'd experiment with lace on a pair of socks. Did 2 lines of diamond lattice on the front of the sock from toe to cuff.
I often say this of most of my #finishedobjects but I am really thrilled with this one. This is Kentia by Marie Amelie Designs. If you look at the design pattern page, mine looks different. Well, that's the thing about knitting that I like most- You Do You.
I wanted mine in a single color. Cap sleeves don't look flattering on me. I tightened the neck opening which was too wide.
Result: Perfect :ablobcatheart: #knitting#knittersofmastodon
I knitted a vest for my husband. Admittedly, it has a feminine silhouette but he's not complaining. Or dares not 😂 . He reasons he's wearing a jacket over it anyway so it's hardly visible. The important thing is the wooly garment will keep him warm in winter.
The yarn I used was repurposed from a test knit I did two years ago.It used to be a woman's open cardigan. Now it's a man's vest. #knitting#knittersofmastodon
On the needles at the moment are too many WIPs - one short sleeved tshirt, one Aran cardigan, 2 scarves, 3 shawls, 2 pairs socks. think I should work on finishing them....
Oops, instead I started a new pair of scrappy socks. 😜 😂
Le tricot maudit qui n'en finissait plus est ENFIN terminé. Il reste encore à bloquer et à rentrer les fils, et c'est VRAIMENT fini ! #knitting#knittersofmastodon#tricot
Still deciding whether to do the Westknits MKAL - I've bought the pattern & now trying to select, if I do it, what yarn to use.
Went through my stash and have 5 skeins that I think work together. Big decision to choose which 4...lol
