Started knitting Snow Gum (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/snow-gum). Using 3 of the colours I balled up the other day.
Only knitting late afternoon/evening as I have my 1st round of edits from my publisher for my next book.
Skein winding - my arm's already sore...lol.
Getting organised for my next few projects. Mind you I do have several WIP shawls and socks.
I love hand-dyed yarn - and I still have about 50 skeins waiting to be used! 😜
#KnittersOfMastodon - can you recommend me your favorite patterns for baby socks/booties?
A coworker caught me #knitting at work and excitedly asked me if I knew how to make socks, and if she could commission a pair for the baby she's expecting. I don't normally make things for other people, but newborns are definitely an exception - the thought of knitting tiny little socks for tiny little toes makes me very happy 🥺
Been a hot minute, huh? Well, I finally finished the colorwork portion of the sweater just now, and now I have to go back to the pattern and check what to do next!
Halfway through one project is the perfect time to plan your next project, right?
I think for my next sweater I want to use a tweed yarn and do a pattern with lots of texture and cables.
The Mahakam sweater by Rachel Brockman is gorgeous and exactly what I was looking for. And I think it will pair nicely with the Vineyard color way from Wool of the Andes
The second knit for my niece’s forthcoming baby, a little star jumper (yet more #intarsia - fair to say that whatever I knit next will all be the same colour!) @knitting#knitting#knittersofmastodon
