Last October I discovered a Horse Chestnut (Aesculus Hippocastanum if you're fancy) tree in the gardens of a local abandoned house and I realised that there are no broadleaf deciduous trees around here, so, over a few dog walks I collected pockets full of conkers.
Around 80 went into bags and into the fridge to stratify over the winter, and now they are germinating.

We are going to have a lot of Broadleaf deciduous trees around here soon.

I completed the body of my DaleGarn Nagano 1998 ski team sweater (jumper if you're English). Frankly one of the most enjoyable knits I've done in quite some time.

I just had to stand in a checkout queue at the supermarket and experience a woman share her trans kids conspiracy rant with the guy in front of me.

The language she used exposed the obvious, that she had been indoctrinated by the hate groups that are all over facebook, it was so sickeningly sad to witness.

I usually wear earbuds when out shopping, I'll never forget them again.

#parkrun photos went up today and for once I don't look either miserable or in pain.

It is astonishing to me just how much joy I get out of this and #running in general. I wish I had learned to do this in my thirties instead of my fifties.

Today was my 5th #parkrun and it was bloody hard work, the goldenrod is out in full bloom here in Truro and it's the worst time of year for hayfever, I felt sinusy and forgot to take an antihistamine.
However, I finished in 20th place and was the 13th Male out of a field of 41 parkrunners, came 2nd in my age category VM50-54 and I set a new Personal Best of 28:57!! #running

As I'm finishing off a #knitting project, I'm already on the next.
I looked at this beauty (the jumper, not the man (though he is yummy too)) from Bergere de France.

But they have a problem on their site with pdf downloads and I couldn't get it. So I emailed them to find out how I could buy it, and they sent it to me for free!!! It has actually improved my generally low opinion our current age, that a big company would do such a generous thing.

I use #Linux as the main OS on my computers, but also use Windows 10 on one.
For the sole reason to download the #ebooks I buy.
I play the occasional Windows-only game as well, but those I can do without.
I can't do without ebooks.
I really, really wish there was an open standard for getting any ebook, with or without #drm, onto any device without having to rely on a single piece of software from one company.
