Bob returns, and during the night vision segments, a deranged armadillo attempts to evict Bob. Doesn't work.

On I was checking in with my namesake and I learned that apparently at overnight music festivals in the UK it's become a thing to yell "Alan" in the middle of the night?

Via TheTab: "Who is Alan? The hunt for the lost soul who keeps us all awake at festivals every year"

Happy Groundhog Day! I am a fan of the absurdity of weather prognosticating rodents and celebrate Groundhog Day with my thermochromic linocut. The shadow is visible if the ambient temperature is <30°C and disappears when >30°C (and it’s a safe bet winter is over or you are overheating your home. So I argue my print is as dependable as any celebrity rodent! 🧵1/2

#TIL that the common #groundhog (marmota monax) is also referred to as the "Thickwood Badger" and at long last I have found my porn name.

More winter or early spring? Punxsutawney Phil made his 2024 prediction for Groundhog Day in the U.S. But what's his track record?

CBS News looks at the data for the last 130 years: https://flip.it/k-c6vs

Bruja here reminding you that we are halfway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox, aka… the beginning of #Spring, #LaCandelaria (get your tamales ready), #Groundhog’sDay, #Imbolc, celebrations of the budding earth. Our people are united by our reverence for earth’s cycles. What’s blooming for you?

vs
Many (most?) people who celebrate the third week of December with masses of food & presents are in fact celebrating Yuletide or rather than the birth of Christ.
Does anyone else think it is time to hive off Yuletide? - for one thing, the celebration of Christmas rightly begins on Christmas Eve after a month of fasting during Advent, and only ends on February 2nd with . (Or, if you prefer, Day)
