And after a long day of math and shit posting, behold! Trajectory in my #godotengine project!
The fact they become mines cuz they don't actually collide with the ground is now a #feature, that I TOTALLY planned, and wanted to happen from the start.
Im currently working on trajectory systems and forgot what tan() does and I kinda am embarrassed about that. Also I'm awful at trigonometry apparently. Haven't thought about it in a couple decades!
Does anybody has already organized a pipeline to collaborate on a Blender -> Godot project ? I would be interested by feedback/ideas
I am working on one to ease transmission of game assets. Important features will be the possibility to have git repository for both parts, Blender files and Godot project, so I have to manage filepaths not completely in Blender file but partially in a sidecarfile as contributors will each have their relative path. #b3d#blender#blender3d#godotengine#godot
@teahands
If I recall correctly you lamented the loss of the Unity Scene view while the game is running in the editor. I just found today a button in Godot that does something similar. Not quite the same, but could be useful none the less!
It's called Project Camera Override and can be activated while the game is running.
I can't find any mention of it in the Godot docs, but here is a short GDQuest video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuTKFha8QBs #godot#godotengine#gamedev
Basic Biking, the odd little physics-based biking game I made, is now on Apple's Appstore and on Google Play :----) What a strange little creation it turned out!
Is anyone aware of any data abut what kind of @godotengine resources people are looking for? Like some questionnaire about what level of expertise and what kinds of workflows people would like to see more tutorials on, and in what format (video, blog post, podcast, smoke signals, etc)?
Blargh! All day trying to figure out why an Area3D wouldn't register a hit on my GridMap in #godotengine and it turns out it was the Jolt Physics engine!
Gotta set a specific option in the project settings if you want that interaction!
I have all the sound effects in that I want! I think. I have to play test it a bunch and see what I like and what I don't. But listen! #gamedev#indiedev#pixelart#godotengine
So! A bit of upgrade today (the Eurovision trigger my need to create a lightshow stuff...)
Some 3D modelisation made with Blockbench for the structure, and a tool in engine to generate with a good length, the number of side we want, and a support if we are on the ground!
