Hello, time for an updated #Introduction - I'm Mark, I grew up in a very small rural #Georgia town. Up until Spring of 2022 I had been handling my Mom's dementia care full time. She finally hit a point I couldn't cope with everything that she needed, but I am fortunate that she is 400 feet from my front door in our local nursing home.
I spent six years on a degree in #Sociology and then two years on a Masters I didn't finish. Followed by a decade plus as a #ProjectManager in #Atlanta before getting burned out and taking what I thought was a career break to travel. Traveled a little and somehow ended up a #DigitalArtist and #Photographer for the next dozen years give or take. I share that aspect of my life over at @MarkOnArt
Among my fan loves are #StarTrek#Transformers and #DoctorWho - just the highlights. If it's kind of geeky there's a decent chance I read, watched, etc. whatever it may be. Or if not would welcome your recommendation. 😃
I am in my early 50's but I took the long path to accepting myself as #Queer - as in so recent that for some in my orbit this is still breaking news. As I've mentioned in my blog, there's no light switch. I have more to go understanding myself but I'm a hell of a lot closer than I ever was before. And one of the things I've loved about being part of the community here has been the opportunity to make friends who are part of the #LGBTQ community. Other people whose journey may not match mine but echoes it has been an unexpected but incredilby happy find. Thank you! You've all helped this awkward guy more than you may know.
