It’s been raining a lot in my area, and although I recently bought a rain barrel, I hadn’t had a chance to set it up and take advantage of the precipitation. So today I finally finished setting it up…created a sturdy stone base, installed the gutter diverter…the whole 9 yards. So exciting! Just checked the weather to see when it will rain next… ⤵️

Ugh, totally wasted open house. Lookee-loo City. I'm so glad this was our last one before we leave. The rest will be after, and the house will be vacant.

Three good things for today:

  • patio seating at our favorite sushi restaurant to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary (how can this be, seems like only yesterday!)

  • no buds on my daylily yet but it seems to be growing talk and strong (I’m very emotionally invested)

  • got a mix-up straightened out with a credit card company without any hassle (shocking!)

I'm bone tired from doing more packing, but believe it or not, I packed all my clothes except what I'll need for the next 9 days, cleaned out my entire closet. I'm very proud of myself.

Damn. #RIP Award-winning actor Dabney Coleman -- who starred in hit movies such as Melvin and Howard, 9 to 5, On Golden Pond, and Tootsie -- has reportedly passed away at the age of 92.

He won an Emmy in 1987 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Special for his role Sworn to Silence, but was nominated six times. Ended up going to Florida and back for a graduation (with a brief stop at Epcot since we were there).

Epcot when we were kids: A taste of culture! Innovation! Live street performers! Music! Food! THE FUTURE!

@ai6yr I went to Epcot for the first time as an adult a few years ago, and must admit that I immensely enjoyed drinking (and eating) around the world (we circumnavigated the globe twice!). The whole experience is one of my favorite memories. ❤️

Is it feeling bleak because of politics/trial/election developments? I’m sorry, totally get it. On the other hand, I was notified that my “postcards to swing state voters” order is being shipped to me today, so that gave me a little pick me up. Also……19 days to go!!!!
