For #PhotoMonday / #FotoMontag a commission to capture some reptile friends. Crested #Gecko s have such fascinating Sauron eyes. CW for #reptiles in close-up
This was from this morning. I walked out to the tip of Artist's Point not expecting to get a good sunrise. Then the color in the sky before sunrise turned this nice pink-ish. It was enjoyable to be out there.
Kinda late to share these, buuut it's #photomonday according to the Germans and these are the most interesting pics I got. (This is the first post in a series but I swear it gets funner.)
ANYWAYS, woke up super late for the eclipse on Saturday but ran out to the park just in time!
Despite being italian, I took 44 years to be exposed to "Barocco Leccese" for the 1st time:
that's the southern Italy (Puglia region) version of #Baroque
decoration in- and outside churches.
I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY IT.
😱
Photos won't give the right idea, of the ever changing interplay of light and shadows on the facade of churches, neither of the incredible level of virtuosity in carving these 3D figures - all directly on the same (softer than marble) piece of stone.
Having been on the isle of #Rügen on Saturday, I also brought home this photo from the #Sassnitz harbour for #PhotoMonday.
My beloved telephoto lens is still broken, I guess going in tighter on the lighthouse would've really been worth a shot, but it is what it is. I think it still turned out a pretty nice and moody composition for a "normal".
