Does anyone have a recommendation for a with recepies from ? or any other?

Could be in English, German or Norwegian.

The vegan cookbooks I habe bought or lent focus very much on European, American or Asian food, but I would love to try different things.

Hey, psssst! Does anyone care for some... fake roast venison? It's medieval! And super, super sweet! Aaand it is fancy - it brings it's own BLING! (I mean gilded almonds! Whoa!) And basically it's vegan, because it is a christian Lenten dish from the 1. printed German Cookbook from 1485. Have a look at it (and at my fail during cooking this. 😅). Experimental archaeology in action.

I heard this author on the Splendid Table podcast and was inspired to buy his cookbook - first recipe I tried: Green Chile Cheeseburgers! I made a vegetarian version using Beyond meat and they turned out really good. Tip: Put thin layer of butter on burger buns & toast on a cast iron skillet. That way the outside stays squishy. #Cooking #Cookbook #Burgers

A Singaporean cook I follow lives in Amsterdam. She was asked for her thoughts on food there.

"The food scene in the Netherlands is very potato-centric - mashed potatoes, fries etc. People are just more utilitarian here when it comes to food - the complete opposite of Singaporeans haha. The silver lining for me is the amazing Indonesian restaurants here"

(It's true, we don't love potato in Singapore and we are never utilitarian about food)

anyway she (pamelia chia) wrote a veg singaporean cookbook which is probably the only one i know of, of its kind

https://pameliachia.com/shopplantasia/p/plantasia

(singapore isn't traditionally a vegetarian- / vegan friendly culture for food, outside of chinese buddhist food and some aspects of south indian food but even then not all of it, but that's changing and i appreciate that she wrote this cookbook!)
