Which programming language considers that the programmer may not always have all the spoons and energy cuz "life" and taking care of fam? That a programmer isn't just ppl with lots of resources and time?
I've never asked this question before. Thoughts? What features would this language have? Hmm. 🤔
ADDED: Esp. what would make this lang better when reading other ppl's code? 🤔 Maintenance work, not just new stuff.
ARCHITECTURE. I just picked up this critical evaluation of our designed environments, a book about how architecture has shifted from dwellings and makeries to spaces where people are expected to not spend much time loitering around: museums, pavilions, and so forth. So where is this going? Various authors speculate about spaces like seed repositories, laboratories, and other archetypal spaces where humans are the after-thought.
Passbolt's own Kevin Muller sat down with Anthony from the Great Things with Great Tech! for an episode. Check it out and get some insight into all things Passbolt:
I do understand the need for more and better technology!
For every incurable disease, we need new technology to cure it. For every landfill filled with waste, we need new technology to recycle and decontaminate it. Etc
What we don’t need, is technology that’s wasteful, harmful and only focusing on shareholder value! We must be mindful about it and use it for good!
"As an AI enthusiast, I appreciate the incredible advancements we've witnessed, but let's not overlook the need for responsible development. Let's strike the right balance between innovation and safeguarding humanity!"
The people who #know are out front about the potential risks, dangers, so we all best be listening very closely to their caution and educated warnings. #Technology#Humanity#OpenAI
Today I learned: Homepod Mini has a built-in temperature feature. I was playing around with the settings to change the siri voice to British male, and I saw a little icon with the temperature on it.
What's your reason for paying a huge premium for a high end device...cell phone, Laptop, a tablet...or anything? Since last few years I am buying a used phone of previous generation, flashing a private and secure OS and using as my daily driver. This gives me a lot of peace of mind and I don't miss a single feature of a top end device. And of course I save a lot many bucks. #technology#techtips#rambling
Live from Japan 🇯🇵
After a quick Korean BBQ yesterday, with the Team in #Japan, @jon's tour takes him to the Icelandic Embassy in Japan for a #pressconference!
I'm sad to see Kyocera leave the consumer smartphone market. There's a gap selling rugged phones to "everyday normal" folks.
In honor of them leaving, here's one of my all time favorite torture tests, raking the Brigadier screen with concrete 👀 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxoz5_2pCXU
According to former Google researchers, it looks like the Bard chatbot has a glaring keyword manipulation exploit open to any black-hat SEO who wants to try.
@jon will head to the Tech.eu Summit, in Brussels on the 24th May.
Dpeaking on the panel “The Evolving Role of Policymaking in European Tech”. An important area of #discussion, as any contribution to it is helpful for the #technology industry in #Europe.
