Tja, ich habs gesagt. Im Mobilfunk ist ea das gleiche. Leute wollen billig > schnell. Deswegen ist Mobilfunk in D spottbillig aber eben auch lahm bzw wenig inklusivdaten

@RolandRides Deutscher Mobilfunk ist im Vergleich nicht billig. Hier zum Vergleich wie viele GB es für 20-30 EUR gibt im internationalen Vergleich.

@stux Well, I think that’s no surprise. The ones who check daily are more likely to see and vote.

Imagine 100 people who check daily vs 700 people who check weekly. If the poll is running for 24h the tally would come up 50:50 which is not representative of the larger numbers. 🤷‍♂️

First part of my today. Munich to Berlin with the ICE Sprinter that only stops in Nürnberg and Berlin Südkreuz. Train is quite crowded, but I have reserved seat, so all is fine. Lots of coughing and sneezing, so the FFP3 mask stays on.

Eurostar has sent me their “you’re travelling tomorrow” email.

My train is Paris - Köln.

No security controls like London services.

Yet they’re telling me to arrive at the station 30 mins ahead. That’s not happening as I’m arriving Gare de Lyon 47 mins before departing Nord 🙂

Doesn’t make sense if I remember the station layout correctly, but so doesn’t starting Nord vs Est when going to cologne. (At least in my head 😅)

@jon To be honest, Eurostar never struck me as a company with great operational excellence. But this comes mainly from the abysmal queue management at St Pancras 🫠

And from the looks of it they seem to be scrambling hard to make up for the loss of their London - Amsterdam connection.

@speculationfictive @jon It’s worse if there are delays… The waiting area past border control is super small, so when it’s full they stop processing entirely. Then people going on later trains come to the station as well queuing with the ones waiting for the delayed train. As there is no communication people think they will miss their train and get nervous and start jumping the line… Horrible experience every time this happens
