#First of #all, it's #good to #know what type of #investor I am. I can #focus on quick #profits and then follow #trends without considering the distant #future, or I can invest for the future. In the latter case, I am basically uninterested in current trends and only focus on what I think will make a lot of sense in the future. So in both cases I will choose completely #different instruments or entities.
A key tenet of learning tech is focus. Depth is more important than shallow wide ranging knowledge (which of course is untrue in some roles). As #engineers there’s a #natural#tension - #FOMO - between what you #know, what you are “#expert” in and what you believe others know that you don’t. We tend (as #humans) to place a higher value on things we don’t know - the grass is ALWAYS #greener. Instead - consider the right #tool for the #job and let the rest sort itself out. #tech
