Instead of replying, Trustwave started sending me advertising spam... Well, we'll see how it goes. It's definitely not the first security company to throw false reports at RPlayer. I've managed to get along with all of them so far. Keep your fingers crossed for me! RPlayer is not malware.

Looks like the dweb.link #gateway has come to life. I'm doing everything I can to make this player catch on, but I need the help of the #IPFS community to do so. This player's pin takes up about 300 MB, but if you already have an old YATSU player pinned (before the rebrand to Michal Diviš), this player's pin will realistically only take up about 3 MB extra on your drive.

2.) My hashtags are not working and I don't know why?
3.) No one talks to me on staff@mastodon.social.

Is there a mastodon.social user who can talk to me about this? I understand that something is probably wrong, but I don't know what. This account is to be used to reach out to the community about new music that will be appearing on IPFS. I do not share any objectionable content. Thank you all!

Andres, thanks for the reply! I'll explain:

1.) If you open my profile, for example, in an anonymous browser window where you are not logged in, you will first see a message about hiding your account (I am sending it as an attachment). Every new - and invited - user can see it. Unfortunately, this does not look trustworthy.

2.) Nothing I write is displayed under the hashtags I use. Some are even completely blank. For example, #bjobsdyYUIEbidbnioENG. Under the hashtags #rplayer or #technotramp, all content from mastodon.social has disappeared.

3.) I contacted support on 3 November. After that, I received an automated email with more questions about account identification, which I answered, even though I basically wrote it in the first email. I haven't heard from anyone since. I understand that the support situation can be complicated due to the nature of how mastodon.social works, but I would be happy to contact anyone in support in any way I can.

I have the opposite problem. Only hashtags from other servers are displayed here. For example #rplayer. Only what I write on mastodon.social is not functional. Thank you very much for the answer. Maybe this will be explained somehow.

At first I also thought it was a temporary bug, but it's been going on for a few months now. I really wanted to be patient, but I'm losing faith that it will resolve itself. Anyway, thank you so much for the reply! Maybe what happened to you is also related to the bug that affected my account.

Yes, I thought of that too. I was thinking of running my own Mastodon under the domain technotramp.com, but I wasn't sure if that made sense. Plus, I'm now promoting the mastodon.social invite link. It's just a bit annoying, even if it's not about life. Do you really think it's worth going the self-server route? I'd hate to lose the followers and continuity of my channel.

Installation doesn't look insurmountable, but it's not easy either. I've only had a cursory look at it so far. If migration including followers is possible, that's definitely the way to go. But then what happens to the link to the mastodon.social invitation? Can it somehow continue to work? The thing is, I already have it printed somewhere. I am very glad for this information. I believe the best solution will be the simplest solution. I will certainly explore that option as well. However, I still believe that the mastodon.social situation can be resolved. But if not, I will definitely include your tip in my considerations.

I know, I know. Unfortunately, I have no idea if you are using IPFS directly or an HTTP gateway, but I have good news for you:

1.) This fetch is a one-time only
2.) If your http gateway is slow, you can try another one. For example https://ipfs.io/ipfs/bafybeiewkxwysf4jlnhbxs7pd4junvkrrais76qm3qgkpn3en4b2lcqxwm/index.htm

The truth is that HTTP gateways for IPFS combine the disadvantages of both worlds. In their case, it relies only on the browser cache.

Thank you very much, my friend. If it takes longer, I will try to contact the administrator. I suspect it's my massive tagging. I figured that tagging nouns best captures the essence of the message and I wanted to reach out to everyone. There is a positive side to this. At least the functionality is now tested.
