The theme from Hawaii Five-O is the best TV show theme ever invented, so good they used it twice.
But if you're talking about a TV theme song with the dirtiest, low-down, meanest bass line, look no further than Barney Miller.

Anyone else here watched / missing this amazing TV show? Book just arrived. Nostalgia read. El Ministerio del Tiempo will always be one of my favorite series. ❤️
Was reminded about the X-Men Animated Series from the 90s. Looked it up and they haven’t put these out on DVD or BR. May need to try and find it on the Interwebz because I couldn’t pay for it even if I wanted to; it’s not available. How are amazing shows like this getting preserved?
Our recuperating household needs a new bingeable show.
We loved Ted Lasso, Good Omens, Severance, Beforeigners, Lucifer and The Good Place, and the first season of Altered Carbon, but couldn't stand the second.
So all genres are on the table, but a general upbeatness or a mystery where the good/bad is clear is preferred.
Not keen on being asked to like terrible characters.
💜 On http://www.ladyteruki.com I've been writing (in ꜰʀ) about television from all over the planet, for over a decade and a half ! I believe in being curious about the world through its TV shows.
Reviews, history, fun facts... so far 6700+ publications have been made available for free, ad-free.
But I'm a disabled person living under the poverty line, so I have a Ko-fi where people can support me : https://ko-fi.com/ladyteruki
💜 First article of the year ! Who else is excited ? But before we start talking about reviews of specific shows, which we have all year to do, I wanted to take a minute to write a love letter.
❔ The first Take Five article of the year is the occasion for me to discuss the first episode of five shows that didn't get their own review, for a variety of reasons. Oh, what's that ? You want to know what shows I'm talking about ? Well, there's really only one way to know...!
Especially since this year's Take Five will look a little bit different...
As 2023 is coming to an end shortly, I'm going to go through and just randomly list off some favorites from the past year.
High speed. Minimal thoughts.
First - favorite new manga of 2023? Beat and Motion, Two on Ice, and Shojo Null. The first's about music; the second's about figure skaters; the last is set in a world of disposable cyborgs that are actuality sentient people with machines on them removing all sense of consciousness - with a sentient cyborg lead, a co-lead whose parent's were murdered for learning this truth, & good social commentary on cops.
Favorite new movie? I mean - I watched all of one - the Super Mario Bros movie. So, I guess that...?
Favorite New TV Series of 2023. I dunno. Genuinely - I watched Ghosts, Abbott Elementary, Why Women Kill, and a few other shows, but they weren't new in 2023. I just happened to start watching them in 2023.
My spirit animal/muse goddess Tina Fey (aka Liz Lemon) created the Yearly Rap Up for #30Rock many years ago. I still silently create soundalikes in my head during slow moments of December, every year.
Chris Rock got rocked yo
No one cares for Paltrow
Oprah got slimmer
Boebert gave a jibber
It's a rap rap wrap up
23 wrap up!
Rebel Wilson cut calories
Elon Musk cut salaries
Barrymore blows solidarity
It's a rap rap wrap up
23 wrap up! #TVShows#SNL
Texas has become a real-life Gilead as depicted in the dystopian TV drama "The Handmaid's Tale." If the other US states don't watch out, they will be next to go "Under His Eye."
Watching old episodes of the 1970s ABC cop show, “The Streets of San Francisco.”
It’s a good show, and you get to see fascinating views of the city in a formative period. In the 1972 pilot, the TransAmerica pyramid is visibly still under construction! In S1E1, there’s a chase through an unfinished BART station - the first dozen stations opened that year!
