One of the teams I've been working with to climb the performance management maturity ladder is...Edge!?!
We build a lot of the browser out of web "stuff" these days (think bookmarks, history, downloads, settings, new-tab-page, etc.), and moving away from React to a modern Web Components + HTML-first architecture has had a huge benefit for users, particularly folks on low-end hardware:
Ich habe den Kindern übrigens heute früh gesagt, dass eigentlich jeder Tag Mutter-, Vater-, Kindertag ist.
Sie dürfen jeden Tag füreinander basteln und allen sagen, dass sie sich lieben oder toll finden. Und auch der Geschirrspüler darf einfach so ausgeräumt werden.
The winners of the 2024 Pulitzer Prizes have been announced. The New York Times took three: One for its coverage of the war in Gaza and others in the Features and Investigative categories. The Washington Post tied with wins in Commentary, Editorial Writing and National Reporting. The Fiction Pulitzer went to West Virginia writer Jayne Anne Phillips for her novel, "Night Watch," while the Nonfiction prize went to "A Day in the Life of Abed Salama: Anatomy of a Jerusalem Tragedy," by Nathan Thrall, which tells the story of a Palestinian father living under Israeli occupation of the West Bank. Here's the full list from NPR. This Poynter.org story has links to all the winning pieces of journalism.
I bought a bottle of water at the airport for $4.50
The POS kiosk asked me if I wanted to leave a tip. It was completely unintentional, but I chuckled at this dystopian scenario playing out, tapped “no” while starting to make eye contact with the cashier, they had a friendly smile so I just apologized but made sure to speak loudly and clearly over the airport sounds.
From her perspective, I must have looked like I boldly stared her in the eyes and chuckled at shorting her, then threw out an IRL #SorryNotSorry.
I hope her day improved after that unfortunate interaction…
Hot take: Europe is not a continent and I'm sick of pretending that it is. It's just west Asia. A little mountain range and cultural differences don't make a new continent. #SorryNotSorry
If you're an American who finds yourself saying both candidates are too old or Biden is disappointing, learn about the right-wing Project 2025. If you did, you might do less complaining about Biden and more to help him get re-elected.
Every election. Every race. Every democrat. #VoteBlue
I've been having probs finding time to progress, so have often had a starter ramping up on the counter for several days. I constantly expect today I'll get it going.
This week I even had to break down and buy bread for the first time in years. That gave me the kick in the butt to get something going after breakfast.
@hotdogsladies The fact that you care so much about how others think of you that it is dictating your word choice makes you look insecure and childish. #sorrynotsorry
Dems in Wisconsin learning what my friends back in WV already know: my loyalty is to doing the right thing, not propping up a political party. #sorrynotsorry 💁🏼♀️

Has anyone taken the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch light railway? (www.rhdr.org.uk)
Took this route a few weeks ago, was very cute, but not quite enough trains a day for the hop on and off ticket to make a lot of sense.
