Disturbing, noticed across theatre and live music too. I wonder if the pandemic shifted many people's entertainment habits to online stuff they can do from home.

In the Funen countryside in Denmark, you may encounter the most adventurous creatures!
Many months of intense work were showcased yesterday to a fairly large crowd of alert and focused children when Ballhaus' and Via Artis Konsort's outdoor opera for children 'Nature Opera' had its premiere.

Feel free to share your story!

Before the ad version, you needed a license, if i remember this correctly.

Wasn't that btw. the main difference between 4.x and 5.x?

This month it is 30 years since I started working on browsers. April 1994 is when Geir and I started working on the Opera browser. We founded the company a year later.

Initially I made the UI, while Geir did a lot of the core.

Since that time I have dedicated myself to making the Web live up to its potential. First at Opera and now at Vivaldi.

If you ever used Opera and you have not tried Vivaldi, I invite you to give us a try!

If you never used Opera or Vivaldi, you are invited as well!

Also, so many “browser alternatives” have switched to Chromium that there are surprisingly few great working alternatives available.

I stopped using years ago, & (my preferences) embraced Chromium as well.

There is by , which seems to be the only major alternative as of late.

Apropos today: Easter Hymn from Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana 😌

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOq815Nf-0E&t=1390s

The opera itself is a bit..much 😅

But Tatiana Troyanos's Santuzza in the 1978 MET staging is very much worth a watch anyway ❤
She is completely luminous in this production 😯
(insofar as one can be luminous as the 'abandoned' woman in a verismo opera staged by Zeffirelli!)

Excellent performance of Ms Sierra. After intermission, she gave it all and was phenomenal. Her voice is now fulller and she is a stage animal. Everything else was just correct. The tenor was in a bad day.

As there is a new aboombong album of out soon, I am revisiting previous releases.

After the success of collaboration on articulations, I decided to continue the trend with the 9th aboombong album, AGNOSIS. This time I reached out to a friend I met while working on my PHD., Lana Van Boven, a trained singer, her husband Brian Shaw (), who is a music professor, and an old bandmate, David Liso, who I have been in several bands with. Pulling from ancient texts/music, deconstructing them, and the rebuilding them, AGNOSIS ended up exploring the connection between classical traditions and modern music. A rewarding project.
