Thought for the day: Trump's felony trial in NYC will be over, and a verdict will have been rendered, weeks before the first scheduled debate with Biden. In fact, it's quite likely the trial will be over before the end of this month, with room to spare.

@FrankFrank @randahl That is true. Have soldiers in modernized/western militaries engaged in war crimes beforeโ€ฝ Yes. But usually they try to destroy the evidence (via fire), not bury bodies in the ground where animals & living humans can find them.

@Extra_Special_Carbon @randahl Hamas is a genocidal, theocratic terrorist organization who needs to be destroyed. After they are removed as a threat, Israelis will be able to remove Bibi from political power due to corruption charges (unrelated to this conflict).

Most governments are dealing with existential threats to invest anything beyond sound bites regarding the conflict. I do believe the November 5th election in America ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ will determine what happens in Gaza.

@yeri Reallyโ€ฝ When I was in Singapore ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ for 3 weeks, I communicated with most locals over iMessage (a few used WhatsApp, but those were Android users). As far as iPhone users go, most used both, so it was not a huge deal for them to FaceTime me or contact via iMessage.

@yeri I am not sure if they were from a tech scene (they were all locals), but they had iPhones so we are able to message each other back & forth over iMessage.

The local expats I encountered definitely used WhatsApp, although all those with an iPhone definitely used iMessage with me when I was there.

It could simply be that they adapted to the communication device depending on the person (which is not unheard of).

I know people who use iMessage, Signal, WhatsApp, & Telegram.
