The year is 1982; #Channel4 launches; Madness’ ‘House of Fun’ is in the charts; ‘Blade Runner’ premieres in cinemas; the first CD player goes on sale; the #Commodore64 is released; Nike launch the Air Force 1 basketball shoe; and you’re wearing your new Space Shuttle Game Watch.
Your mission is to get the shuttle from one side of the screen to the other, landing it on the base, while avoiding planets and space ships. It is made more challenging by the base randomly appearing and disappearing.
For a brief time this year, Amazon's bestselling "bitter lemon drink" was "Release Energy," which consisted of the harvested urine of Amazon delivery drivers, rebottled for sale by #CatfishUK prankster #OobahButler in a stunt for a new #Channel4 doc, "#TheGreatAmazonHeist":

There's a Channel 4 "Dispatches" exclusive announced for tonight, about UK comedy people. Dispatches doesn't usually get shown on Saturdays.
Russell Brand has already put out a YT explaining he was "promiscuous in the past" but Popbitch says there's more than one. In case you've missed what Brand is up to these days since the Sachs thing, he's a Covid denier, anti-vax, great reset, the whole shebang. Musk and Tate have defended him so far.
This was SO good! Lots of character development from the first season. If you like hard hitting prison dramas with plenty of social commentary about the prison system peppered in, you'll probably enjoy this very much.

‘I’m not friends with politicians’: Krishnan Guru-Murthy on success, swearing and barefaced lies - The Guardian
"He started as a broadcaster before going to university and is now celebrating 25 years at Channel 4 News. He discusses the BBC, bias, war reporting – and what he learned from his father”
#F1 I think Steve Jones is such a great addition to the #Channel4 presenters. He asks all the silly questions and stops the commentators going too technical and boring.
I think #MotoGP should have a flamboyant presenter like that. Someone like Jack Whitehall, who would ask all the stupid questions that the public want to know. Ross Noble would be the obvious choice but he might not be flamboyant enough 🤔
The Last Leg shifts to Threads and snubs the fediverse?
Is it OK that The Last Leg is asking people to contact them on Theads rather than Twitter?...
