I know I'm far from the first person to point this out but it blows my mind how people are going bonkers over AI and how it's going to change everything when every time I use it it just plagiarizes a pre-existing website
@AbandonedAmerica At a #tech meeting, last night, with bright young things working in #AI & one young man in his early twenties, who referred to himself as “the villain”, assured me it was 💯 % over for content-creators, #writers such as myself.
To prove his point, he boasted about #publishing a #book on #amazon , entirely ‘written’ by AI, which took him all of 5 days to compose.
And, to think that I was attending this meet up looking for a #job … Sigh
The last two weeks have been a wringer for me, which is why my posting on #Mastodon has dropped significantly. Chronic pain. Lovely stuff. This led me to explore Dr. John Sarno's work, and the world of neuroplastic pain.
I tried some of the methods and I was quite shocked at how well it worked. First time, I reduced my pain by 70% by just allowing myself to be upset over an issue I was keeping buried. 1/3
When I read Dr. John Sarno's book and the #book, "The Way Out", I saw myself in it. The typical neuroplastic patient profile fits me to a tee. Also, this explains some of my weird chronic pain episodes throughout my life.
When I was a kid, I suddenly had really severe toothache. Went to the dentist & expected to loose a tooth only to have the puzzled Dentist say he couldn't find anything wrong.
I was going through exam stress then.
The brain is very creative. #Wellness#Health#Medicine
J. Scott Coatsworth's new MM sci-fantasy book: The Autumn Lands.
Jerrith is running. Kissed by an elf, he can’t remain in his hometown of Althos any more. Not that he wanted to stay. Caspian still hasn’t figured out why he kissed Jerrith, but he’s running too.
Today's queer indie author review: Alexandra Caluen's Mistletango:
"Angelo's a dancer/dance teacher between jobs and has gifted himself with a holiday in Buenos Aries, who ends up accidentally sharing a room with Ramon... A very sweet and beautifully written whirlwind romance.
Meanwhile, somewhere else, dawn broke over Ásgarðr.
It brought with it a remarkable sight. One that had Munin cawing laughter, from where it circled high over the Wall.
The Wall, which this morning was a flurry of activity, enough distraction for Munin to land on the battlements without fear of a cold iron welcome from Forseti’s misappropriated thugs. Ásgarðr had more fat and lazy ravens than the Tower of London, and if one extra happened to blend in with the flock, then who was going to notice in comparison to what Hel’s brood had been getting up to in the night.
“What is it?” That was Forseti, scowling and angry after being woken too early by an overeager einheri. He was still holding Gungnir. Munin wasn’t sure what it thought about that.
The band had stopped playing deep into the evening, guitars going silent and mics hissing themselves to sleep. This morning, náir swarmed all around the place that had been cleared for the impromptu concert, erecting what looked like it was going to be a much more permanent stage. Meanwhile, the entire army had fallen back a good few dozen feet, and it was the vacated space that was currently putting the lines in Forseti’s brow.
My #bookreview is brief/won't spoil, to spread good, great, & spectacular #horror#books far & wide.
Troubled, flawed, complicated women & insidious, unsettling horrors are contained within A SMALL LIGHT. Sara Century artfully evokes various shades of dread whilst imbuing her characters w nuance & complexities even as chaotic, horrifying situations befall them. @WeirdpunkBooks
Maryann reviews "Hawthorne Manor" by AUTHOR, Bryan T. Clarke:
"An excellent, well written, wonderful and beautiful love story - and not just one, but two. They will warm your heart... a must read - I highly recommend it!"
I'm after recommendations for books published by SMALL presses. Please comment below with just one (link appreciated) and do feel free to put your own book in there if you'd like. Genres I like the most: literary, speculative, BIPOC perspectives, memoir, funny.

Chez le même editeur j'avais déjà acheté le livre sur Space Invaders qui était très intéressant #book#arcade#retrogaming
I finished reading Angela Sterritt’s memoir on our road trip. “Unbroken: My Story of Survival and My Fight for Justice and Hope for Indigenous Women and Girls” is incredibly powerful. You can order your copy today. 10/10 recommend: https://greystonebooks.com/products/unbroken
