In Tunesien dürfen keine Migranten bleiben.

…draining Gaza of its leaders could weaken Hamas grip on the area while also allowing Israel to continue tracking down high-value targets.

Senior Hamas officials are known to live in , , and the capital , among other places outside the territories.

Though unlikely to be accepted by Hamas, this has been discussed at least twice in recent weeks

#podcast / "sarde" after dinner

[...] In this #Sardeafterdinner, we look back at 2023 and take away the lessons learned: the Good, The Bad and The Absurd. It’s an unfiltered unapologetic rant about the personal, local, regional and international milestones that shaped this year for us as human beings, Lebanese, Arabs & non-whites…

The Sarde After Dinner Podcast is a free space based out of the heart of #Beirut, Lebanon, where Médéa Azouri & Mouin Jaber discuss a wide range of topics (usually) held behind closed doors in an open and simple way with guests from all walks of life.

Sarde [سردة] (noun), [Sa-r-de]: A colloquial term used in the Middle East to describe the act of letting go & kicking off a stream of consciousness and a rambling narrative.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin previously warned that would be turned “into Gaza” if Hezbollah started an all-out war.

Yeah. Just casually turning cities ”into Gaza” is apparently a thing one says these days.

Far right rhetoric is rhetoric. It doesn’t change if the perpetrators now were victims before.

Far right of 1930’s Germany gave birth to a far right Israel in 2020’s. What started out as reparations, has become a repetition.

You can call it extrajudicial killing abroad, you can call it the targeted execution of an enemy of the state, you can call it the violation of the national territory of a sovereign state, or you can just call it: international state terrorism. #HumanRights #Beirut #Israel

TruthSandwich,

@aggualaqisaaq

The part that's not being mentioned is why a Hamas leader is in Beirut and why Hezbollah is working with them.

Although the answer is obvious: Hamas and Hezbollah (and Houthi) work for Iran against Israel.

Hey Truthie!

Here’s a question: if you were a Palestinian forced to live your entire life in an open air concentration camp, subjected to constant surveillance, forced to subsist on a semi-starvation diet, unable to come and go freely, periodically enduring savage bombing & artillery attacks as your captors ‘mowed the lawn’ and murdered your family - what would you do?

Nothing?

Join Hamas?

I know what I’d do!

To quote Jonathan Cook in Middle East Eye [https://www.middleeasteye.net/opinion/israel-palestine-war-baddies-western-support-genocide-gaza-yes]:

“As the American Jewish scholar Norman #Finkelstein has noted, Hamas’ breakout on 7 October is better understood not as a war but as a slave revolt. And like slave rebellions throughout history - from Spartacus’ against the Romans to Nat Turner’s in Virginia in 1831 - it was inevitably going to turn brutal and bloody.”
