with Sut Jhally on his documentary "The Occupation of the American Mind", which exposes the pro-Israeli propaganda targeting American audiences for decades.
Israel’s information warfare strategy focuses on the notions of combating “terrorism” & the dehumanisation of Palestinians.

"Here in Australia, as in a number of other countries, a misleading campaign has been led by unelected and unrepresentative organisations claiming to represent the Jewish community. Most of these organisations are uncritical defenders of successive Israeli governments with close connections to Israeli intelligence agencies.
The key claim of these unrepresentative organisations has been that the opposition and protests against the Israeli army’s war in Gaza is led by ‘antisemites’, and that many of the students and other participants in the protests are ‘antisemitic’."
"I was ... deeply surprised and deeply disturbed when I heard that Australian vice-chancellors were going to follow in the footsteps of heads of American universities in calling the police to dismantle student encampments at Australian universities.
Hey @EyalL your not a coward running from a conversation, don't you? So it seems like you blocked @DropBear by "mistake". Just want to make sure that you won't miss his reply:
Israeli Zionism (as distinct from other forms of Zionism, Jewish and otherwise) is the notion that someone who claims to be Jewish is entitled to take the home of a Palestinian, solely because they claim to be Jewish. Such injustices precipitated the October 7 atrocities and continue to endanger Jews worldwide.
Abuse of the term "antisemitism" has effectively neutered the concept. Here's a definition for you: https://jerusalemdeclaration.org/
As Miko Peled observed, Israel and Palestine are the same place. He believes that Jews and Arabs can live together peacefully. That may be true, but by all appearances, it's true of probably less than 20% of the population. You are evidently not among that 20%, EyalL. https://mikopeled.com/
Canada’s largest private high school recently organized a genocide solidarity trip in which students cooked for Israeli soldiers. In a sane world, the school’s charitable status would be revoked.
"genocide of Israelis" @EyalL ? The ICJ finds Israel's bloodthirsty reaction prima facie genocide.
Your profile indicates that you're Israeli:
"Worried about the rise of fascism." Israeli Zionism pre-dates Fascism and Nazism. The parallels suggest that the latter are offspring of Zionism. Fascism is undeniably rising in Israel, but it's been evident from the very beginning.
"Worried more about inhumane murderers just km from me, who murdered 1500 people in cold blood, in 1 day." You'd be better off worrying about the inhumane murderers who are your fellow citizens.
As an Israeli, you naturally want to keep your ill-gotten gains. For Jews in general, that's probably not best.
Eco's definition of "eternal" is rather idiosyncratic @heretical_i :blobcat_thinkingsmirk:
The roots of Zionism can be traced to the early 17th century. Until relatively recently, it was a gentile concept. Jews didn't start using the term in relation to themselves until very late in the 19th century. Jewish Zionism comes in many forms. The form that spawned Israel dates to that time period.
Fascism was founded during World War I by Italian national syndicalists who drew upon both left-wing organizational tactics and right-wing political views. Italian Fascism gravitated to the right in the early 1920s.
It looks like @EyalL has blocked me. Here is the reply that I was going to send him:

@DropBear@serge There is so much wrong with your post that it would take forever to properly unpack... Primarily you are tokenizing Jews via one of the most fringe sects out there. Secondly, you fundamentally do not understand what Zionism is.
"The strategy utilised by the Zionist Establishment within Jewish communities and outside these communities, particularly, in the United States, England, France, Germany and Australia is to engage in an intentional falsification of history and contemporary reality when it comes to the supposedly intractable conflict between Israel and the Palestinians."
...
"As the world witnessed in the case of the destruction of the highly probable victory of Jeremy Corbyn becoming British Prime Minister, these campaigns of destroying opponents of Israeli ethnic cleansing have been extremely potent and successful.
"... as Chris Hedges often says, ‘Israel lies.’ And in the present climate the lies are not only bellicose and incendiary, but galling to a Jew like me who grew up in a time of intense antisemitism."
...
"The Executive Council of Australian Jewry has figures for an exponential rise in antisemitic incidents over the past months. I’m not examining the figures – numbers aren’t exactly my forte. But it’s curious that so little attempt is made by them, or pro-Zionist organisations like them, to correlate this rise with Israel’s ongoing oppression of the Palestinian people and its culmination in one of history’s most horrific human tragedies.
One thing is certain, none of us can expect to be ‘safe’ now.
Genocide apologist are safe and welcome at #mastodon dot social. This person has dedicated their time to harass, lie and libel the @palestine They keep spreading proven lies as the "beheaded babies" and "mass rapes" (there's zero evidence of either), yet Mastodon dot social mods don't do anything about this obvious troll, while they ban pro-Palestine accounts.
I'm always curious about the mental health of those #hasbara social media operators.
I guess posting some ugly dehumanising troll comment is a little less soul destroying than operating a drone that's killing the surviving communities of beautiful people.
@ViXY_DBC
The OP denies the existence of Palestine. Leaving aside for the moment, the fact that the concept of Palestine pre-dates the formalisation of the concept of national sovereignty (Treaty of Westphalia, 1648), what is a state?
The term is ill-defined:
"a nation or territory considered as an organized political community under one government";
and
"a politically organized body of people usually occupying a definite territory".
So people are the determinate. Territory is optional.
If most other states recognise a people as a state, then does that determine the existence of a state? If other states withdraw recognition (of, for example, Israel) then, at what point does the state cease to exist?
"The isolated report of one Israeli heckler has been broadcast around the world as an instance of “anti-Semitism” after a performance by Northern Irish alternative comedian Paul Currie.
As a consequence, Currie has been banned from his entire Australian tour, with a whole run of shows cancelled at multiple upcoming comedy festivals.
#Hasbara /How dumb is Israeli public advocacy? Very.
Following an explicit demand from the government of #Singapore, the Israeli embassy in Singapore deleted a post from its Facebook account that dealt with the mention of #Israel in the #Quran while #Palestine is not mentioned at all.
The post sparked outrage in the country which has a small Jewish community (about 3,000 people, mostly Jews from Iraq), 15% of its residents are Muslim and [so far] has no history of hostility between the two communities.

#Canada 🇨🇦 / Parliament to vote on motion backing Palestinian 🇵🇸 statehood
[…] Canadian legislators are due on Monday to vote on a non-binding motion backing Palestinian statehood that has drawn condemnation from #Israel and that could deepen splits inside the ruling Liberal Party.
[…] "Justin Trudeau could take bold steps for peace and justice, but he doesn't have the courage. That's why we brought a motion to force the Liberal government to finally help end this bloodshed," NDP leader Jagmeet Singh said in a statement, saying Palestinians and Israelis both deserve to live in peace.
[…] The motion calls on Canada to "officially recognize the State of Palestine" - a step that no member of the Group of Seven industrialised nations has taken - and suspend all trade in military goods and technology with Israel.
Opposition leader Yair Lapid, alarmed but also gleeful, I’d say:
Canada's decision to halt arms exports to Israel is "wrong, harmful and dangerous." … "Israel is waging a war against an extreme and cruel terrorist organization and the Canadians simply don't understand what is really happening here.”
I think the word he’s looking for is #Genocide 🤷🏽♂️
He then adds this, revealing how fucked up Israeli leadership is, center and right, believing a genocide is something that can pass through with better public advocacy or #Hasbara:
This does not change the fact that we are witnessing the collapse of Israel's foreign relations because of a bad and negligent government that is handling this terribly. It is inconceivable that at a time when our children are being murdered, women are being raped and civilian hostages are being held captive by Hamas, this extreme government is managing to lose the battle for public opinion."
