I’ve been increasingly getting the feeling that #Adobe really doesn’t care about improving it’s products for professionals, and this pop-up when I launched Photoshop for the first time in a while feels like the most blatant demonstration of that.
Adobe wants their tools to be everything for everyone, but increasingly they feel like the worst solution for any given user. They’re just coasting on being the industry default.
#Affinity clearly isn’t a great choice for someone who just wants to spruce up a profile picture - and that’s the point.#Photoshop shouldn’t be the tool for that either! The current model #Adobe is pushing serves all of us more poorly.
Who’s the priority? (Hint: Adobe is publicly traded, so it’s not the users)

I don't care for Lightroom's tools to create an SDR rendition of an HDR photo — they don't match regular SDR images. Here's a suggestion from photographer Greg Benz, who has serious chops in the HDR arena.

Does anyone have any info on how Photoshop stores the animation timeline in a PSD? I cant seem to find that anywhere in the documentation minus some small occurrences lacking useful detail.
While he started three years prior, Otto Lilienthal took the invented glider on his first successful flight in 1894. What's the deal with #pdf viewers on Android?
Neither OneDrive nor Google Drive can read annotations and all the others seem to be total crap. There doesn't even seem to be a competent #FOSS pdf viewer. Seems like the only viable solution is #Adobe with is a shame! #pdfviewer#android#adobe

Until today, my experience buying #ebooks from Humble Bundle was they were always available unencumbered by #DRM. I have hundreds of #DRMFree#epubs built up over the past decade.
The #PratchettDiscworldHumbleBundle is through #Rakuten#Kobo's ebook shop, and all the books are encumbered by #Adobe and the #AdobeDigitalEdition DRM. There is zero indication that this DRM is included on the bundle page itself. and it explicitly says "Use on Any Device". On the #RakutenKobo page itself, the only indication the file has DRM is some small bottom-text that says "Download Options: EPUB 3 (Adobe DRM)".
Also, DRM Digital Editions will also "helpfully" install Norton for you as well. It's like the dogshit you just stepped in offered to stab you in the kidney, too.
This is shameful and disgusting from Humble Bundle. I know Humble Bundle got acquired years ago by IGN/Ziff Davis, but they'd avoided the levels of #enshittification to make me stop using them.
There are many #FOSS apps that I'm happy with as an alternative to a proprietary app, some of them I actually prefer over any proprietary apps. #Kdenlive's one of them that I actually prefer over other apps I've used as a video editing software, including #Adobe Premiere Pro and #SONY Vegas. It works super well on #Linux and #NVIDIA.
has anyone moved from #adobe#lightroom workflow to #darktable or something #foss based? I am thinking of removing my dependency on adobe and wonder if it is doable and caveats etc.
