It’s incredibly dangerous how the richest man in the world — deluded by paranoia, narcissism, and far-right conspiracies — can get arms of the state to go after his perceived enemies instead of holding him to account as they should be doing.

I think our democracy would be fine except for the massive misinformation campaign designed to get people to distrust government (see Steve Bannon).
We are so gullible we let this influence us. People need to learn that democracy is just a form of government that allows voting and self rule. What we can lose trust in is politicians and the press. But if we wisely use our right to vote, we can cure those ills .
@parismarx It's equally dangerous to see that #X is still a thing, no one cares enough to stop using it, and that humans will choose popularity over ethical behavior every time.
