@RickiTarr "Go get a better education for a better-paying job" is my all-time favorite. Also, those of us with chronic illnesses have to suffer unsolicited advice all the time and we should get paid for that, too.
@RickiTarr Whenever I get a random thirsty dude in my DMs on Facebook Messenger I send them back a request for money. $50/convo dude. If you're gonna treat my social media like an onlyfans account, the least I can do is monetize it.

They say this like it’s the most obvious perfect suggestion ever I’d be stupid not to take. Those would require additional expensive degrees, professional memberships and liability insurance

I've had pretty good luck with Sondermind, but I've also been enjoying the fact my deductibles have been maxed as a result of cancer. No copays til' next year. Then it all gets painful again. So it goes. I do like Sondermind, though. Therapy is absurdly expensive and finding one that is really there to help patients and not chat about their own mental health struggles is weirdly difficult. And yet, damn near everyone needs therapy, if we're honest.
@RickiTarr As someone with a family member who likes to buy me “gifts” to “improve” things about myself unsolicited, I still don’t want it. Backhanded gifts are still insults.
@RolloTreadway You should choose to be depressed, it's cheaper to stay in bed watching reruns of The Office LOL. People are ridiculous, how have they gone through life and not dealt with depression?

Anyway. I really wish that mental healthcare was treated like other healthcare - in Canada, that is… A civilized society shouldn’t let finances be someone’s downfall.
