Hey @cheeaun, does @phanpy have any keyboard shortcuts to interact with media posts? Like play/pause for video/audio, and entering fullscreen mode for images? I like stepping through my timeline by pressing j/k, but frequently need to get back to using my mouse because I'm missing that. :( Also, I'd really love to get the currently selected post centered vertically on screen! 😅🙏

Yesterday, I replied to a question in the Godot forum with a wrong answer (since I misunderstood the question at first). Today, if you google "godot delete pattern", that answer will be displayed as a "featured snippet" right on top. 🙄 (The correct answer is in the same thread, but so far Google hasn't picked up on it)

I've never used Unity, so I don't have any history with his videos, but I'm starting to understand his excellent reputation: This is a pretty much flawless introduction into the Engine! It will get you to a full game in just about an hour, with minimal coding, while using many of the most important features of the Engine. Recommended!

My steam review for the game "Sheepy: A Short Adventure" after 1.0 hours on record: "Yes, this game is free. Does that mean I would recommend playing it? No! At first glance, it seems like an outstanding deal: A (very!) cute main character, excellent lighting, atmospheric music and superb sound design – presentation-wise, this game absolutely nails it! That being said, gameplay-wise, I found it extremely boring. It's mostly a walking simulator, with some very basic platforming and two similarly bland boss fights sprinkled in. Combine that with a bunch of somewhat slow, unskippable cutscenes and a story that's not worth bringing up, and you get a good idea of what this game had to offer in terms of 'fun'. "

A short video showcasing the gameplay of our game "Fly S.W.A.T." for a fairly incompetent player (me). The goal is to move flies out of the way before the AI controlled fly swatter turns them into mush. Unfortunately, the flies have a (somewhat suicidal) will of their own and keep messing up my genius plans for them...

Here's a little toy I put together yesterday at the #GodotEngine-only edition of the @berlinminijam (organized in cooperation with the @GodotUserGroupBerlin). The winning theme was "your health bar is more than just a health bar" and after I failed miserably at putting together a "Getting Over It"-like where you'd climb things using your health bar, I ended up with this bendy boy instead. Assets by @kenney!

In case you missed it: AdamCYounis (renowned pixel artist, about 200k subscribers on YouTube) created his first #Godot game for the recently ended #LDJam 54 – and achieved 12th place overall!

Now he released a video talking about his experience: Coming from #Unity, his biggest gripes include the TileMap editor and AnimationPlayer. However, he also praised GDScript and notes that he'll likely continue to use the engine in future gamejams. :)

#TIL that classic #MineSweeper can actually require guessing. The first cell you click at is guaranteed to not be a mine, but everything else is randomly generated and thus might not align nicely.

That's why more modern versions (e.g. https://minesweeper.online/) include a "No guessing mode" that can be fully reasoned through.

I'm currently toying around with #AutoTiling – and looked into how #Celeste is doing it. Its tilesets follow a common template (image 1). To my surprise it does not include all possible inner corners, though! It's noticeable in-game as well (image 2 or highlighted in image 3). Obviously saves time (16 tiles less), but for a game that includes multiple variations for most of its tiles, it seems rather odd? 🤔 Am I missing something here? @saint11
