I have paid subscriptions to a few Substack folks. When they release things, they show up in my inbox but are too poorly formatted to pleasantly read directly, so I’ve been in the habit of selecting the link to read in a browser, which worked well.
Now, however, they are arriving with only the open in app link. Fuck you, Substack, I’m not installing your app. You’re already getting a cut of my payment and you have my credit card info. You’re going to have to work harder than that to collect more data on me.
I will suffer through reading in landscape mode, and if I come to find it too irritating I will reluctantly drop the subs.

A cheap meal inspired by @melissabeartrix - it was taught to me by a chef I worked for and is his signature dish. I make it all the time for my family when I’m a bit tired and if money’s a bit tight.
You can just use a bought chilli oil - the Cobram Estate one is ok. Not as good as the one we made in his kitchen obvs but it’s fine.

Good reminder to everyone that anyone who has breast tissue can in fact get breast cancer. This includes cis men, cis women, non-binary people, transmen, transwomen, intersex people, and any other human variety.

I am sick of seeing all awareness being only for cis women and about cis women whenever seeing healthcare adverts and info about how to spot these things.

There should be awareness for all, in all shapes and sizes.

Police nabbed a graffiti artist attempting to flee the scene of committing this (picture) adorable art in the harbor of Visby, Gotland, the large island just outside southeastern mainland Sweden.
The 27-year-old was prosecuted for vandalism, with the prosecutor demanding a fine.

Police's interrogation records said e.g. that "His intention is to offer free art to passersby." and... the District Court of Gotland... agreed.

The court's ruling states that no harm has been proven and that the artist "on a gray and cracked concrete façade which is the short end of a loading dock, has depicted a lamb.", that "The way in which X has illustrated the lamb testifies to an artistic work carried out with a certain amount of artistic and technical skill." then finally "According to the District Court's opinion, the beauty value of the cracked concrete façade - in purely objective terms - has increased through X's painting." so the 27-year old artist was acquitted by the court, which also ruled that the police had must return the spray cans they had confiscated.
