A springtime scene that I hope you may enjoy. Our first flush of spring has passed already but it's my second favorite season so I'm dragging it on in my head a bit. LOL (Fall is my favorite).
A few days ago I posted a very fine illuminated tree, with a promise of a thread to come, mainly because I can't resist photos of bright, shiny things.
So, here's a wee selection from this years Enchanted Forest at Faskally Woods in Pitlochry.
I go to walk & look & be with family, so the photographs are secondary & not always as sharp as one would like, but I think they're quite fun anyhow.
I took a damp and foggy walk around Surprise View and Bolehill this morning, and this shot is from the first location.
I very much expected the heather to be well past its best by now, but there was a wonderful amount of purple still around. Combined with the rich greens of the leaves and grass, and soft silver of the mist and bark, it makes for a very pleasing colour palette.
I've let my posting streak lapse - I'm sorry about that. Life just took over as we're in the process of (hopefully, finally) moving home.
Here are a few highlights from late summer - I'm really looking forward to the autumn colour. It seems a matter of a week or three away in Hertfordshire.
We have a fox Have our racoons gone?
We've had racoons wrecking our lawn for years, in the spring and fall, digging up all the grass in search of grubs. Since we've seen this fox hanging around, there has been no lawn wrecking crew active. I much prefer foxes (not having chickens). A handsome fellow, I hope he has a mate to scare off more raccoons and keep the rodent population down.
Happy Wednesday!
Currently sorting through some photos from the last couple of days. We managed some beautiful walks in the sunshine through amazing autumnal woodland with an excellent doggy companion.
Goodmorning! After we had rain earlier this week many ferns jumped into fruity happiness. Here's a big one with the downward side of its leaves covered in fruiting bodies
