I'm always looking for new and innovative wasy to excuse my book hoarding.
I hadn't realised I could use the 'I'll die someday so nothing matters' angle...😜😂
What are your thoughts on DNF (Did Not Finish)-ing books? Do you feel guilty about it? Do you worry you missed out on something? Or are you confident in dropping a book and reaching for the next one?
At what point are you most likely to DNF, if ever? What sorts of things cause you to DNF?
It's #BookLoversDay and I want to share the list of awesome #nonfiction books I read for this year's Polymath Training Challenge.
Run on a Hungarian book site, this challenge announces 12 nonfiction topics every year - 11 are the same, the 12th is randomly selected for each participant. You get to pick the books you want to read.
I found some awesome books for this year and finished early, so I'm sharing now 😊 📚
No words yesterday because I was derailed doing something else. The highlight of my day, however, was receiving one of the loveliest emails of my life from a #reader.
If you've ever thought about #writing to your favorite #author, DO IT. I promise you 99% of us will be incredibly honored you took time out of your precious day to #write and it will mean the world to us.
Just finished reading the last installment of @charliejane Unstoppable series and I feel like a ran a technicolor, frightening, amazing marathon through space while fighting for the fate of 100’s of planets along with the crew of the Undisputed Training Bra Disaster. I need a minute, and some sna sna juice. Check out my #bookreview below!
Question for the #readingcommunity :
If I were to put together some swag bags of book merch for book clubs who decide to read my book, what kind of stuff should I include?
And #authors, have you done anything like this before? What did you offer?
This move was made to better protect the #authors, editors, and the work of thepress. The legal fees related to this move exceeded $6k, which is a lot for a small press to absorb. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, helps to offset this cost and to support the press's ongoing efforts to put out #diversebooks. Thanks! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/unleashing-magical-worlds/x/34471287#/
Quote from article: This move by the state ensures that those with the least privileges–those in unstable homes, those without regular internet access, and those without active parents or guardians in their lives–have even fewer opportunities to utilize public goods and services. It in turn protects the library, which is not in the position to determine the suitability of every book in the library per the law’s definition of inappropriate.
My thoughts: this is for every one of the hand-wavers who insisted "They can just check out e-books from the library." The definition of "obscenity" in Mississippi's law is so vague that biology textbooks depicting human anatomy qualify.

#PennedPossibilities 330 — How does your MC go about expressing or not expressing their sexuality?
Suetonius, like many gladiators, is pimped out by his lanista -- and he's very popular with the clients. When he falls hard for Drusilla, his experience is translated into tenderness.
