Glastonbury Tor - View of St. Michael's Tower, all that remains of a 14th century church destroyed by Henry VIII during the dissolution of the monasteries.
Here is that robot painting again with the canvas texture removed. Normally I like the texture effect but in this case I feel like it distracted from the textures I put into the painting. What do you think? Which is better?
April has been a busy month for me. I'm excited to show TWO new big paintings tomorrow at the Pendleton Art Center in Cincinnati. Hope to see you there--or on the fediverse!
Here's my latest:
Under the Pear Tree is 14″x34″ Acrylic on canvas.
Seeing as Mother's Day isn't that far away I thought I would create this mixed media piece called "Mother With Sunflowers", it looks beautiful on canvas, coffee mugs, tote bags and much more! Hope you enjoy:)
"Golden Leaves V" Today's late #painting is the 5th in my ongoing series of autumnal trees. I started it about 12 yrs ago when I had a studio on grounds with acres of trees. I'd cycle through the woods to the studio and take breaks to walk in them, up and down to the river so many times. Intermittently I'd work on this painting trying to capture those walks. #Art#MastoArt#MastoDaoine#Artist#Cycling#Ireland
The California poppies won't last too much longer. If you haven't had the chance to see them you better hurry. If You can't make it then you can always look at mine. Kissed by the dawn.
