@fancysandwiches Those are great questions 👍 I scan all my artwork myself at high resolution, 600 dpi. I tile it seamlessly and colour match it as close as possible to the original.
@jclittle Epson Perfection V600, I love it, but the bed is slightly too small for the bigger paper that I like to use. I end up shaving off a few CM from each edge of the paper to make it fit, which is mostly fine, just a tad annoying because I'm not great with scissors.
@fancysandwiches Ha. Same one I have. The bed is too low right? I scan large pieces, I have to do 6 scans and tile them together. The bed is too low so it casts a shadow along the edge of the scan. SO ANNOYING
@jclittle yes the shadow! It's why I just trim the piece 😂, but I've been wanting to do a little bit bigger than what I have been doing so I'll probably just do what you do and make multiple scans and stitch it together. Another skill to learn I suppose.
@fancysandwiches Tiling is tricky because this scanner distorts the image; when there’s overlap on two scanned portions of a painting, they do not match up. The best way to minimize problems is to make sure you scan as straight as possible along the edges of the scanner bed.
