I should look into any new SwiftUI API:s in iOS/iPadOS 17 as it’s probably going to be out in a few days or weeks at most. From watching some WWDC videos I don’t remember anything interesting that I thought could be useful, but there has to be something? SwiftData is a big one, but I don’t even use CoreData so it’s irrelevant. Also never use version 1.0 of a brand new Apple framework.
I believe it would be cool if some of the third-party developers were able to help out with the project. Also, I hope they include an in app payment feature to make it easier for donations or even for premium features (buying a T-shirt or hat with your Misskey handle on it would be cool).
No but seriously why doesn’t iOS ship with a built-in feature that tells you exactly why an app has a red badge saying “1” instead of you having to check inside ten different inboxes within an app to figure out what’s causing it
My fellow Mastodonians, if you travel or someone who needs to film or take a quick VC and need that extra bit of light to bring out your glorious features then KeyLight is for you!!
KeyLight turns your iPhone, iPad and Apple TV into a Keylight in a pinch! With configurable temperature, brightness* and colour*.

I’ve spent the day so far using a docked iPad to do my everyday digital tasks. It’s surprisingly okay at this. There are a few places where I had to poke around to find the menu items that I knew how to access on a desktop, but other than that…
This really could be a computer replacement, and an inexpensive one, for lots of folks. #iPadOS
#iOS and #iPadOS 16.6 are available! These contain nice accessibility improvements for some issues that have been there since iOS 16.1. In my experience, speech getting stuck is fixed, BSI gestures passing through is fixed, and speech stopping seems less severe.
