Some plants today. Our snake plant at home has been blooming. It's fragrant flowers are dripping with nectar- but since they are indoors, no hummingbirds or bees to slurp it up. Also the plant next to the snake plant is also taking off since I have been watering it so much.
At BrooklynGlass I went to get some neon tubes this morning and saw this neon tube double vase. I should really pitch a quick one day intro class just making lil vases like this out of tubing- so fun!
5 points to anyone who can tell me what the plant next to the spider plant is?
Hey #plant folks! This cactus has got a bit out of hand. What can I do?
I’m thinking of cutting off the most disobedient column and replanting it. I know I need to let the cutting callus - anything else I should know? Will the main plant likely be ok?
The second bloom on my second orchid stem has fully bloom'th. It was exciting seeing the new buds forming just as the previous had reached their zenith. I don't think Phaleanopsis will bloom a third time from the same stem but if not it seems to be happy and I know I should get a new stem at some point 🤞.

Yesterday, we tried to get a lawn lounge chair for partner. Unsurprisingly, we did not get one. Also unsurprisingly, since we were in a garden center, I got another plant.
Welcome to the collection, little sedum (as alway, don't expect a lot of care, but I heard you are the kind of plant that survives neglect and weeks of no water) 💚
In addition to blooming profusely my indoor African violet plant has sprouted a green fuzzy something in the middle of one of the blossoms. . . Does anyone know what it is? Or if I should do anything about it other than see what happens next? Thanks.
My #Hoya cinnamomifolia is blooming! This is one of my oldest #hoyas and it rarely #flowers for me. I don't think it is a difficult #plant, I just think I'm neglectful.
I have a an #Sansevieria in a very crowded pot. While it blooms with lots of fragrant flowers every spring, I have yet to see a single seed (any tried and tru pollination tricks?).
Propagation by a leaf cutting is easy, I was told, so on 10th October 2022 — more than eight months ago — I placed a leaf cutting in a cup of water in a South-facing window sill and waited. And waited. And waited…
After almost three months the first roots emerged. After an additional three months there were more roots, but still no leaves, and the water had become unappetizingly infested with algae. The roots looked as if they would like some soil, if you know what I mean, so I planted the cutting in a soil with good drainage.
More than eight months since I made the cutting, and more than five months after I noticed the first roots, the damn cutting is still not showing any signs of new shoots (or any change in its foliage, for that matter) — what I have is essentially a leaf with roots.
Is there anything I can do at this point to promote growth of a new shoot? I don't need guesses (I am also aware that I can divide a root-bound Sansevieria and propagate it that way, but that's not what I'm looking for with this post), but if you have practical experience with leaf propagation of Sansevieria, I would love a follow-up here.
