Elevador is obviously #elevator in #Spanish. But "ascensor" too. The same that in English we can use #lift, along with elevator, in Spanish, you have elevador and ascensor. In the #map, you can see the distribution of both terms.
The country with the second largest number of Spanish speakers is the United States. #Spanish

Whoa, that's a pretty nice feature in Duolingo that I haven't seen before. After listening to a story, I get to write a response in my own words and it gets graded. That's cool! 👏
Game-changer! One of the most impactful things an OpenStreetMapper can do is to map public transport. A new mapping course launched by Trufi Association and Mobility Hub - Colombia has the potential to revolutionize transportation planning with community-driven solutions. 🚌🌍 Available in Spanish. English coming soon.

Hola!
I will do my best to post accessibly, including image descriptions and avoiding flashing lights.
I will CW for things like violence, nudity, and hate speech.
I will not CW for cursing, food, politics, or eye contact. If you need CWs for these things, it's okay not to follow me! I just do all of these things a lot, so you wouldn't see most of my posts anyway.
If I see you, and you make interesting original posts, I might follow you. If you post a lot of sexually graphic content, I probably won't. It's not personal.
Can anyone recommend some Spanish language Chromebook/basic computer tutorials? Including things like how to log in, how to find email, how to manage tabs, how to download and set up apps.
Hi! My name is (exceedingly private), but you can call me Temerity because I think that is a fun word that is not used enough. I #TNR and care for feral cats, I #garden, I own too many #books and like to print and distribute #zines. I live in a #desert suburb and love learning about #nativeplants even though I am a mere novice on the subject. Estoy aprendiendo #espanol y me encantaría tener compañeros de idioma para practicar.
I call myself an #anarchist and I am deeply interested in learning with my communities how we can take care of each other outside of the long arm of the law.
I hate prisons, cops, fascists, terfs and dairy products, although I think it's more accurate to say dairy products hate me.
Follow me if you want cute anecdotes about suburban organizing, lying on resumes, garden photos and radical literature.
I think this is my first time being on the other side of a #TwitterMigration. It's pretty cool! For all the new folks here making an #introduction for those concerned about not being able to find POC, I strongly recommend starting by following hashtags and using those to follow people who use/are associated with them. I did that and found a really active, engaged, diverse, and vibrant Black community here. Use the following hashtags in particular:
There are other hashtags associated with other communities - our Indigenous siblings use #Indigenous and maybe #NDN, not sure. And every once in a while, someone will tweet a bunch of good accounts to follow. Personally, I could do with more #french#francais or #spanish#espanol content, but that's kind of on me.
A Columbian lady assumed that I've got Argentinian heritage today. I was speaking to her in (my very limited) Spanish, and apparently with my accent and hair, she assumed that I was a (very bad) heritage speaker with Argentinian extended family.
I guess I the rioplatense content I have found has been more impactful than I realised :)
From one of my Mexican friends of indigenous heritage:
"Why are MAGAs so upset over hearing people speak Spanish in America? White people brought Spanish to Latin America. It was the language of the colonizer. You'd think they'd be really into it." #spanish#espanol
