#StallionSaturday! This black beauty from the south Onaqui herd is known as Cobra, due to the distinctive marking on his face, which unfortunately you can't see well in this image.
Prancing into #WildHorseWednesday! This wild gray stallion on Utah's west desert demonstrates the trot for all the dressage people out there. All natural, no aids needed, lol.
It's #MustangMonday! This black stallion climbed a small ridge to get a better view. The wild ones are always on alert for dangers as well as other horses from competing bands.

A captivating black and white masterpiece capturing the essence of a Lexington's horse country!
#WildHorseWednesday! Young Cooper is feeling playful and rushes Clorox. It's the way young stallions learn and test their skills. They are tolerated and sometimes educated by the older guys as long as they remain respectful.
#FoalFriday! Young Cisco is not a foal anymore, but don't tell him that. Natural weaning in the wild is lots different! While foals begin taking in other food sources as early as 2 months, they continue to nurse up to 10-11 months. It is no longer for nutrition, but for nurture.
Something below spooked the herd, and these horses started running towards me, passing within a few yards. The feel and the sound is forever in my soul.
#WildHorseWednesday! Two wild stallions greet each other on a dusty ridge. AKA 'you put your left foot out', lol. They snorted, pawed and went on their way.
I don't just photograph wild horses! I actually spend most of my time photographing equine events and portraits. Here is a portrait shot I took last weekend of a young AQHA Perlino stallion who is looking for girlfriends for the fall ๐. This was for his stud flyer.
What an evening ๐ฉ
Kwiatek laid down next to me and I PANICKED because thatโs extremely unusual. I was so sure he was having a colic and checked his vitals, bowel noises and signs of pain but everything was completely normal. I brought him a snack and he got up quickly and ran after it.
Donkey, Iโm so happy that you decided that itโs safe enough to sleep next to me but you need to let me know beforehand when you decide stuff like this!
It's #FoalFriday! Mama Don't Go! Young foals are curious and love to investigate their territory as they get older and more confident. This little guy looked up and suddenly realized that mom and the family had moved from where he left them, lol.
#WildHorseWednesday! Get Off My Cloud! A wild stallion runs out, whinnying loudly to warn off an approaching stallion. Letting him know clearly that he is not welcome. I love the sound of thundering hooves and whinnies!
#StallionSaturday! I spotted this handsome guy roaming the desert alone, miles from any other horses. I walked about 1/2 mile to join him for a bit and take a few photos, then left him at peace, because I can identify.
It's #FoalFriday! And everyone loves the babies, even big brothers. I love this family scene as it shows the close connection between family members in the wild.
For #WildHorseWednesday! Sheldon and the dirty boys! A spring scene from the north Onaqui range with a group of young bachelors, Sheldon, Paco and Sidney.
#FoalFriday - Family for a Day! When Little Star's new foal Sully was knocked about and injured by stallions trying to get to her, one stallion, Apple stepped in to protect them. He fought to defend them until Sully was on his feet again.
It's #MustangMonday and this is the boys club on the south Onaqui range. This motley crew of bachelors are usually stirring up trouble at every turn, but here they are huddled near the waterhole with their backsides to the strong wind that was blowing.
