A planner became frustrated when they asked for plan input and I replied “oh joy, another plan.” Here’s the thing: The planning process is the problem. I’m burnt out. I discovered the #Denver bike plan a few years after it was completed and I was very excited! Then I found out there was no money nor desire to implement it. Then a few years later we updated the plan. /1

For anyone in the #Denver area who is looking to reduce their carbon footprint, the city is starting a program to pay people to ride their #bike instead of take their car.
Transportation is the second biggest driver of greenhouse gas emissions and the largest contributer reducing air quality in three city. Every bit helps and the $150,000 in funds will hopefully help push people to make the healthier choice we all benefit from.
Okay #Denver area folks, the time is nigh! I am leaving town SOOON so it's time to come get some cheap furniture and housewares, if ya need them. Selling off the whole damn household cheap as chips, so come by to buy something, or even just put your name down for free stuff after everything that sells is sold (Mastodon folks will move to the top of the free list, so mention it if you come by).
Question for outdoors folks in #Denver#Boulder#BoulderCO#Colorado (@mikoontz? @leahawasser?): Doing a #bikepacking trip on the front range in a couple of weeks, camping at >8K elevation for a few nights. Are there mosquitos or other nighttime biting bugs there in late June, or could I camp with only a tarp?
I'm sponsoring the adoption fees for all the #rats at the #Denver Animal Shelter. They are babies, but growing up fast. They've lived in the shelter their whole life, and it's just not a great environment to grow up in! There are currently nine boys and one lone girl.
Maybe you can give them a good home, or pass the word along? Rats are intelligent and affectionate companion animals. These little ones deserve better, and are going to need some extra love. 💕
