The French publisher @cfeditions published an online version of "Ada & #Zangemann - A Tale of #Software, Skateboards, and Raspberry Ice Cream". It works great for me on my mobile as well:
Nicotine Bees was a documentary on vidcommons, but the movie itself didn't mark it as CC licensed. I had to go through several hoops to "prove" that the source who claims it's CC BY is actually legit, but i think i've got it now :blobfoxsweating: i'm currently uploading another documentary from the same director, but once that one is finished, i'll upload Nicotine Bees to archive.org as well.

Ça me ferait bien plaisir qu'ils partent
Just came across @ntnsndr's discussion of Governable Spaces on the Frontiers of Commoning pod. Are there any other good interviews / discussions about it out there?
#3DPrinting and other #maker friends who release files under #CreativeCommons, what makes you choose CC-BY-NC (the non-commercial one) over CC-BY or other options (or vice versa)? I'm not here to evangelise one over another, just curious as to people's thought process when picking a license for publishing stuff online.
In the context of guarding against mixing proprietary data with open data and thereby producing an output that can't be licensed openly, how much proprietary data is too much?
If I were to (say) estimate historical hourly electricity demand by county using only open data, and then I compared my output with a commercial dataset to see whether they agree that seems like it would be fine. Right?
Currently really fired up because someone on FreeSound.org listed a song as #CC0, but is demanding #attribution in the #comments and claiming #copyright on #YouTube videos. I think he just doesn't speak English well and doesn't know the difference between CC0 and CC-BY. But man am I aggravated by the whole thing.
So, if I don't want #Meta to surveil me should I block their instance from my instance? From what I read, as soon as I interact (in some way) with their instance, they start hoarding my data?
@Xepher_X Hmmm, question regarding that: on @pixelfed I post under the #CreativeCommons BY-NC license, would that mean that ingesting my #Pixelfed image posts for any ultimately commercial purpose would be a violation? 🤔
