I really enjoy creating these abstract landscapes...for this one I tried to evoke the mood of a coastal sunset in my home province of British Columbia.
I was mesmerized by this stunning sunrise off the coast of Maine just recently...It is the reflection of peace and serenity we all need in our lives. Happy Saturday to all! ❤️
Every Saturday a small group would go sailing in the bay where I used to live (on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.) I captured this image on one of those days...
Scientists from around the world are becoming increasingly alarmed by mass coral bleaching events caused by record-breaking ocean water temperatures. Water found to be as warm as a hot tub off the coast of Florida last year has moved to the southern hemisphere, infecting the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, as well as coral in coastlines in Brazil, Tanzania and the Red Sea. The BBC has more on the threat to marine life.
I just added another coastal landscape to my series. I used to live on the Sunshine Coast of #BritishColumbia and this was the kind of scene I'd often see.
A breathtaking morning at the Navarre Beach Pier, which is famed for being Florida's longest fishing pier, measuring 1,545 feet long and towering 30 feet above the ocean.
I love this view, it's my favourite part of the Island, right at it's southernmost tip. I can pretty much guarantee it won't be one of his most popular images when we get it into the Gallery tomorrow but it's one that I'd choose - if I were one of our customers that is 😅
"𝐀𝐓𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐂 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐄”...
I was so very blessed to recently experience the tranquil beauty of yet another summer sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. Happy Sunday, everyone!
A bit of a ropey view of Lindisfarne Castle at Holy Island on the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in North East England.
I just loved this pile of fishing paraphernalia which leaves you in no doubt that we're on the coast.
Linked to the mainland by a causeway, you ignore the tide times at your peril!
At Seaham Harbour on the Durham Heritage Coast in North East England, this is the 'Slope Beach'.
Not a soul around on this visit, but on that temperature-busting day last year, when weather records were being smashed across many parts of the UK, this spot was rammed with people enjoying the heatwave.
The pier on the left, with its lighthouse, regularly feature in the national press for the impressive scenes when stormy seas crash up against it.
