We've been having a problem with the subtitles on our YouTube videos for a few weeks now. Is anyone else having this problem where they all show up covering the first few seconds?
We aren't doing anything different we can think of, and everything looks fine with all the timestamp settings in the system. I'm at a loss for how to fix it.
So I’m working on edits for a video I shot where I’m trying to use the original audio from the recording because there wasn’t music in the background for once.
But the audio needs some cleanup because of static/hiss type stuff and I’m realizing I don’t actually know how to do that. I started playing around with the audio filters in Final Cut and I don’t know what most of the terminology means 😭
So I guess, does anyone have recommendations on cleaning up audio in final cut? Or like basic resources for learning about what the terms mean on all these Logic filters because I’m lost and I don’t want to watch 1000 hours of YouTube dudebros rambling about tech.

I am looking for a good video editing program. I am trying to get away from using Adobe products. For my photography I use Affinity photo. But they don't have a video software. Does anyone have a video editing software they enjoy and which does not require monthly subscriptions?

Where are custom keyboard command sets stored? I deleted FCP as I the SFX folder isn't anywhere on my Mac, but forgot to export my command set before deleting the app. Luckily I have a time machine backup, so if I would know where the command sets are stored I could find them! 😅 #FinalCutPro#macOS#FCP#VideoEditing#TechHelp#Question

I have a DJI Mini 4 Pro. Is there some way to mark the start/end of a shot? Like a clap board sort of but for drones, in the sky?
I'd like to automate my video processing and so far most of that is just cutting out transit and setup time for the shot I want. Some way to mark the start and end of a shot that can be identified automatically would be incredible!
So I'm gonna continue working on this either way because I'll use it, but is there any interest in a VFX editor where you edit a single frame of a video and then it uses a no-AI style transfer (https://github.com/jamriska/ebsynth) to change the nearby frames in the same way, automatically editing frame by frame until you see one you want to edit more by hand? And then when you're done it puts the video back together with the new frames and original audio. #vfx#videoEditing

Well I've managed to somehow lose a video project that I'd been working on in increments since LAST NOVEMBER, and now I need to drink some tea and take a long hard look at myself and come up with a new plan for the week.
