Hearing protection when working with loud tools - what do you use?
Are these auto-muting ones good? They seem like a good idea, but how is it in practice?
My problem with hearing protection is that tool use is intermittent but I don't want to be deaf and oblivious the whole time. Nor constantly pull them on and off (or worse, in and out).
Good & brave opinion. I tend to think in similar ways. #AI of today will develop into incredibly useful things and applications, but AGI is the wrong metaphor for any of it.
Pipe-dreams of billionaires and tech bros shouldn’t be on our minds, we should be looking how these #tools fit into our human economies.
If the tech bros want to try and build their god, let them. But don’t let that spoil your life.
