Here are some simple 28x #PixelArt#emoji made with #Pico8 colors that I was working on recently. I have more of these and will post them as #MastoArt soon.
Interesting, our server has seen a bunch of federated #Cascadia#DougFlag emoji on other servers, but apparently we're the only one with the #pride variant?
This would be done yesterday if it wasn’t for the fact my server shat itself and I only further euthanized it.
Anyways, 1.2 is here! You can now download it here !
List of new emotes: :neorat_bored: :neorat_creepysmile: :neorat_frozen: :neorat_googlyeyes: :neorat_hot: :neorat_knives: :neorat_pet: :neorat_trash: :neorat_upsidedown:
Important: Want to be up-to-date with new Neorat releases? Follow @neorat to be up-to-date with what’s new, even if my home server will no longer exist or will be down!
I'm looking for a website that lists emojis and how they can be misinterpreted. I haven't bookmarked this one but I need it soon...
I think it had the word "ethic" in it's name, maybe "bias" too, but I'm not sure. Can anyone help? If been searching for a while but couldn’t find anything.
Just like with the other recent releases, there are now 3 downloads: The regular one, an archive for use with the Mastodon Admin CLI, and a high-res one for printing or inclusion in other graphics.
I haven't added any custom emoji from scratch, but Alex has, and I encourage Jawns to submit emoji that you would like to see. Custom emoji can be PNG or GIF files up to 50kb in size, can be still or animated, can contain transparent backgrounds.
@yonkeltron I can't find any information either way about #SVG custom #emoji in Mastodon.
It would not surprise me if custom SVGs were intentionally not supported, because they are often considered more of a security risk than raster files (debatable, but a reasonable position to take). SVG files can include JavaScript, for example.
N(e)orat (pronounced no-rat or neorat, whichever you prefer) is an upcoming emoji set that was created as a response to Volpeon’s neocat and neofox emoji sets (no shade thrown, ILY volp) - except with rats!
Tomorrow I plan to release the initial set of the emotes, which you will be free to use on any non-commercial platform!
Another thing I like about #Misskey's custom emoji reactions is that I can get the gist of what a post written in a language I do not understand is saying via the reactions being given by the cool people of misskey.io. So even if #DeepL is not giving me translations that don't make sense, I can tell for example that @syuilo is hungry from the numerous pizza emojis being given :blobcatnompizza: and give a ":yuyuko_corndog:" :koakuma_giggle:
So thanks #Japan for Misskey and #emoji! :cirno_thumbs_up:
'Too many cats, not enough crustaceans: The current emoji catalog doesn't accurately represent the breadth of biodiversity seen in nature -- and that hurts conservation efforts, according to scientists. An analysis published Monday in the journal iScience found that while animals are well represented by the current emoji catalog, plants, fungi, and microorganisms get short shrift.'
