The game walks the walk, too - a lot of effort went into making it a sustainable production, and entirely recyclable. There’s no plastic, not even shrink wrap!

Hey board game/tabletop pals, does anyone have a copy of the 2001 Asmodee game Death Wears White / La Mort s'Habille de Blanc that you would be willing to sell?
This kid. When he laughs maniacally as he launches flaming embers from Vul-Kar, setting opponents ablaze as he selfishly gathers treasure to complete his plundering of #FireballIsland.
First game in the books for #BoardGame day. Taught Linds how to play #Apiary and surprise, she won! Of course! She throttled me so bad I don't even want to post the score. So here is a pretty picture instead.
Decided to go to our favorite board game cafe tonight after work 🤗
We got a chance to play a new game called "Rebuilding Chicago" based off a similar game about Seattle. The creator (in the first photo on the left) is in Chicago doing research and testing out this variation.
It was such a blast to try something new and not yet on the market! The game was fun - we will definitely keep an eye out for it when it is released.
I designed the board for this & had a local screen printer do them for me on cotton canvas napkins. I then designed & sewed the pouches & backing.
I have now realized now that I don't need the chits I had originally envisioned. Instead I can print half page copies of the graphics and let the user fill in the rolls with a pen or pencil, as well as write the interpretations down.
We were feeling a low bit cooped up at home so decided to go to a new Board Game meetup in our neighborhood we hadn't attended before. Played "Oriflamme Ablaze" and had a blast. It was so nice to meet people and our mood was instantly lifted! Reflecting later, we realized last night from this experience just how important it can be to get out and meet people, and how we can all come together to build communities.
Yesterday, we played Terraforming The Dice game. Will loved it, me not so much. It's TM with dice as resources. It's an opportunistic efficiency game. It is simpler than TM, but not all that much faster, but hoping to play it again soon & see if we can play it faster.
Why I didn't like it: The dice hated me & didn't give me the sides I needed to play the cards in my hand, so I spent turns just manipulating the dice & that was boring.
Will won 65 to my 43. It was apparent early on that I'd never catch up, but we still had an hour & half to play.
So after 1 play, it didn't do what I wanted it to do, which was be a shorter, more streamlined experience. It is simpler, sorta. The cards & terraforming the planet is more straight-forward. But there are 15 resources across 5 colors of dice. That complicates thing. Cards still cost a lot of resources, so it still takes a lot of time to get anything done.
I was really hoping this would be like what Jump Drive does for Race for the Galaxy, but it doesn't.
Will loved everything the game did, though he enjoys games of opportunity & efficiency a lot more than me. But he was also disappointed that it wasn't faster. Maybe when I can figure out how to do more things, it won't take so long, but not sure how much I'm ever going to want to play.
Do I know anyone that's had custom-printed game boxes done? Maybe in the #boardgame community? Boosts very much appreciated!
Trying to get a short run of boxes done... UK places have ludicrous prices and delivery from the US is expensive for a short run... At the moment, the contents of the box is going to be significantly cheaper than the box itself!
I got tired of having the cardboard cutout I made myself for my absolute favourite game, Dark Cults. It's a card game lost to time, created by Kenneth Rahman back in the 80s, so I recreated it using Creative Commons artwork and a print-on-demand game service.
It's a great storytelling game, in which one player attempts to keep the main character alive while the other one tries to cause his death.
