I realize it is less than meritocratic and doesn't carry any real weight in legislative power but it is kind of cool Marge Green has become the face of the Republican Party because literally no one in congress knows less about the world and how anything works, gets quite as infuriated at concepts she doesn't remotely understand, and vomits semi-verbal hate with the same random apoplectic fury at anyone for the merest slight, like, say, they got the parking spot she wanted at Hobby Lobby.
It's like they were working on a new mascot but had to keep going with the collateral designs so they just left a space marked "cartoon Dogpatch neo-Nazi Karen goes here" and then a flourish of music played and she strode right in from the wooded glade where a burning cross still flickered behind her.
@GrimmReality
I object only to your calumny of Dogpatch. I know Al Capp was republican, but at least in the beginning of his career, when I learned to read with Li’l Abner in the Sunday comics (along with Alley Oop) they weren’t the rabid lick-spittle lunatics we see nowadays. We can thank Barry Goldwater for that, imo. Joe Btfsplk was my favorite character. I just looked at wiki and there were a shit ton of characters I’ve forgotten about.
But other than that you’re right on with 3-toes.

Nor even worry about living up to one’s own definition of something, given how likely one is to be mistaken about it, for so many reasons.
@dougiec3
And they have billion$ because we (taxpayers) have been giving them billion$ in subsidies for decades. We’re fucking paying their legal bills. Is this a great country or what?
I’ve occasionally wondered if there was anything that could happen that would tempt me to drink again after 36+ years sobriety. Maybe if there were any booze in the house I might take a sip, but I’ll just chew on this gummy instead.
