I asked perplexity.ai's LLM a question about a Dostoyevsky translation (disclaimer: I may be the least literate person you come across today). Perplexity told me "The New Yorker article states that "Pevear and Volokhonsky...agree with the majority of their critics that they are best at Dostoyevsky."

The New Yorker writer was obviously being funny (I confirmed this by skimming the original source) but the quote anchored the service's response to my query. 😄

Today I was reminded that If Chrome browser is a garbage fire then Safari is a big stinky flaming turd.

Apple should be ashamed. Safari is completely irredeemable. I now hold more contempt for it than I even ever did for iTunes on Windows.

That is all I have to say about that.

Recently re-discovered that PEI has nearly Island-wide public transit. There’s a private company that goes most places, too.

Should we ever move out east, we now prefer PEI because of that.

I now vaguely recall @TanekRune mentioning this.
