But now that they're doing that on the Switch, they're complaining about the subscription service and saying they should sell these old games individually again.

Like IDK anime is just too broad of a term and saying 'I'm an anime fan' wouldn't tell you anything beyond 'this person enjoys Japanese animation'.

Like I have a genuine phobia of them, even when they're not moving.

At the mall the other day, the elevator in Macy's was out of order and we had to use a (disabled) escalator as stairs.

GENUINELY was still freaking out and terrified while they weren't even moving and I was just walking up them like normal stairs.

Was trying out different CRT shaders in Retroarch and I saw people recommend HSM Mega Bezel and wow I love this?????

Granted my laptop screen is 1080p and people recommend higher res screens for CRT shaders to look really accurate but I also don't care if it's not perfectly accurate to what it'd look like on a real CRT, I just want it to look good to /me/.

Because holy shit I'd go on the subreddit and it was like every day there'd be 5 or 6 posts that were just screenshot of some idiot anime fan on Twitter bitching about how 'LOCALIZERS ARE TRYING TO INSERT THEIR WOKE AGENDA INTO ANIME' or some other nonsense.

(I ordered a couple of 3DS charge cables that are USB on the other end, a Retro-bit USB Sega Genesis controller, and I said 'Fuck it' and ordered myself one of those $30 all-plastic bootlegs of the old 1/55 scale Takatoku Macross Valkyries - would love to get a legit one (or one of Bandai's reissues) but they're out of my price range right now lol)

My favorite part of Nintendo and emulation stuff is the 'Nintendo doesn't care about preservation' takes that always come out.

Like bruh do y'all not remember the Nintendo Gigaleak? That shit wouldn't have happened if Nintendo didn't care about archival and preservation lol

(Also remember that Square-Enix had to get the source for the SNES Mana games from Nintendo cuz SE didn't have them anymore)

I remember when downloading something 65 GB in size would be such a massive chunk of my storage space and also take forever to download.

Yet last night I downloaded the original Macross anime (wanna rewatch it cuz I haven't seen it since I was in my teens) and it only took 30 minutes to DL and I still have 3.4 terabytes of space across all my drives lol.

I could have 52 million copies of this show downloaded if I wanted to (assuming I did the math right, it's probably wrong)

Last night I started copying over my ROMs folder from my external mechanical hard drive to my internal 2 TB SSD and damn copying files from a mechanical drive over USB to an SSD is slow.

The funniest shit I was literally sitting there watching it copy my files from my SNES folder over when I realized this was a download of the entire SNES library, be quicker to just redownload that torrent directly to the SSD and extract it.

So I did lol.
