Yesterday the ICJ directed Israel not to commit genocide & collective punishment.

So, the new US scheme to collectively punish is: withdraw all funds & starve Palestinian toddlers to death, while you launch a sham investigation on if <0.00001%* of humanitarian donations are used by baddies, while REFUSING to obey US laws requiring you to investigate whether the hundreds of millions of dollars in weaponry you are giving are being used to commit his war crimes/genocide.

@chargrille I am still awaiting to hear if my UN worker friend is dead or alive. We haven't heard any updates from her in a week now. She used to give daily updates & when she couldn't, would get someone to alert us on her status. She went missing during last week's attacks on refugee camps & field hospitals. We're hoping for any updates.

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) has pledged to prosecute Israeli officials if they do not comply with the International Court of Justice’s orders in regards to targeting journalists.

IFJ noted that the death toll now represents around ten per cent of journalists in the enclave.

It added that the death rate for journalists is about three times that of health workers and it is impossible to believe that this is a matter of chance.

What, exactly, does the US, Australia, the UK, Germany, Canada, etc, think will happen with their blocking funding to the What do they want to happen? They fired the people accused (nothing proven, just allegations) and they've started an investigation?

They are contributing to genocide. We are all guilty if we don't stop our governments from this insanity

B.C. 14-year-old who brought handgun to school because he 'thought it would be cool' sentenced

At the time of the offence, S.G. had a minor's possession licence, allowing him to borrow non-restricted firearms and use them under certain conditions. The handgun he took to school was a restricted weapon.

I think Americans should be raising more hell & demanding DNC do better across the board.

You know that. Many people using just Trump aren't. It's clear by what they type. They truly think taking him out will stop GOP from screwing over more folks. It's corrupt GOP that needs heavy reforms. It's the entire election system that needs reform.

I don't see how either is vastly different from each other - other than one is overtly a shithead, who doesn't care if you hate him or not & the covert shithead, who doesn't care if you hate him or not.

My parents both introduced me to a lot of different music - cultural tunes, Asian rock & pop, all sorts ofAmerican tunes - we enjoyed family record listening parties in my childhood. My Mom introduced me to #LorettaLynn & I loved this song a lot 😀

@Fury The makeup & wardrobe is absolutely amazing too. I remember learning how to apply traditional Teochew opera makeup when in Swatow. I dressed up as Teochew opera ghost for a Halloween in my mid 20s 😊 Used the makeup & styling techniques taught to me in China. It was lots of fun but no one knew WTF I was dressed up as. I had to give cultural lessons about my costume. That impaired my just have fun goals but at least some folks learned something new 👍

My first day of 3, for much needed sleep catch up, personal self care, grief processing & soul/spirit rejuvenation. I've been very stressed/bummed out over some ongoing family medical issues & am still processing recent shock trauma from a young friend's suicide last week. I'm doing my best to stay balanced when external life news hasn't been good.

Made some Indian stuffed bitter melon comfort soup today.

I'm really grateful for folks who understand.

My dear friend, his Dad, can't see me breaking down because he's depending on my strength to help/support him until he's a bit better. He's a complete mess now & I get it.

@PChoate @CStamp It's messed up that is why many young folks (men & women) sign up. They see it as an easier way up as well & military recruiters pounce on thar desperation. I live in a heavy CAF city. I've met several military guys here who told me straight up - I hate military but had little other life choices & this pays better than most other entry level jobs.

Alabama, USA, just executed Kenneth Smith using an experimental means of execution. They used him as a guinea pig.

This is the 2nd time Smith was brought to the execution chamber for a 1988 murder. The 1st time, in 2022, he was strapped to the gurney for 4 hours as they repeatedly stabbed him with a needle but couldn't get the IV in

Smith wasn't even sentenced to death by the jury after his second trial. It was the judge who decided Smith would be put to death.
