I thought bullshit. Her comment is from ignorance of the condition. From reading #actuallyautistic posts here who also have adhd, I never read that kind of reaction.
I guess I don’t believe it the same way autistics are abusive because they are autistic.
We’ve had two copies of this book forever. Both autographed. We met Lydon on his little book tour, which for an ex-Sex Pistol felt steeped in cognitive dissonance. Shook his hand, had a short convo. If you’re going broke #indiepublishing then you’re doing it wrong. Most likely you’re trying to act like #TraditionalPublishing. We all know how good they’re doing 🙄
I really don’t think I’m making a difference at all. Not compared to others. I know I shouldn’t do that. I tripped and fell into a hole. But it’s so hard to be seen. Invisibility has always been my problem. Or ignored. 😒
What apps/websites/etc. does everyone use to track short story submissions? I used to use a spreadsheet, but suspect there may be better tools out there?

I'm raging internally. Texting with one of my brothers and while i'm practically pleading for him to see the pain i've shouldered for ten years. He keeps making excuses and empty platitudes and victim-blaming.
Any books on autism by autistic authors with higher support needs? Or blogs? We tend to center lower support needs voices and I want to make a point of using my position to elevate those who don’t get heard as much as I do 💜
If I've written a novella set a "high school" level academy, but the character is older than her classmates due to health issues keeping her out of school (so she's 17 and her classmates are 14/15)
