Great start to my day!

Picked up my immediate dentures - they look good, will upload vid short later.
After, went for nature walk in a park, with Mom.
Got some weeding in gardens done. Loads of photos are incoming, over next couple of hours.

I feel a little dirty suggesting this, but is there any way we can take the impulse of those who love statistics and following weekly (or even by-the-minute) updates when it comes to organized corporate sports and create news sites that do that for ongoing newsbeats?

It was clear decades ago that gov't should be using a carrot & stick approach to get landlords and homeowners to prepare their buildings for climate change. Hmm, when did California lose it and start using plastic bags again at grocery stores? The pandemic? For awhile there I thought everyone was using (at the very least) beefier recycled plastic bags instead of throwaway plastic, but apparently someone lobbied someone so people are just buying more disposable plastic bags (at 10 cents a shot) in my neighborhood. 😢

(Nope... I do not go to the grocery store much, LOL).

@ai6yr Yikes. I'd never heard of this before. I know of a lot of soil mix recipes that call for "perlite or vermiculite" without even mentioning the advantages and disadvantages of either.

Most of the areas in CA people call "desert" are chaparral ecosystems.

This is why I & @ucaccessnow want all cycle racks to be accessible designs, accessibly sited. Here we have a twofer - for-profit micromobility that was given carte blanche on campus & in town without offering accessible vehicles nor a just plan for dealing with bad actors...like the people who parked at the new rationed "oversized cycle parking only" racks.

On the same trip, saw SPIN cycles dumped in the middle of the mixed-use path, parked at the end spots which are the only spots on these inaccessible #DavisCA racks where trikes, quads, and bakfiets can fit, and parked blocking egress from disabled auto spaces.

Don't ration accessibility; it's nearly guaranteed selfish people & corporations will take it. Build everything as accessible as possible.

Another bad aspect to how micromobility is done when it's by for-profit corporations is that they act...like for-profit corporations.

Not only did they not provide accessible cycle choices, not only did they not provide their own rack infrastructure on their own dime, they're annexing our labor. They expect the ppl who have to deal with this dumped corporate property to email them about it rather than pro-actively dealing with the results of their bad plan.
