Got asked several times this week on how I feel about the recent #redhat news.

Long story short: I'm still proud to play a small part in #RHEL as well as the @fedora communities. I'm surrounded by talented people who work hard to deliver meaningful improvements for customers around the clock.

There's a ton of mud-slinging going on by people with agendas to push and views to count. That's the roughest part.

I've seen corporate moves from the outside in the past where I've thought "Oh man, that company is totally ruining that other company."

Now I'm on the inside and seeing the banter about what #IBM may or may not be doing to #RedHat.

Sure, I was super nervous as a Red Hat associate when IBM made the move originally, but I've received nothing but support from IBM since then.

Lesson learned: When you fight against outdated security policies from the inside, engineers who are good at Photoshop and have access to plotter printers will immortalize your image in unexpected ways. 🤦‍♂️ 🤣

Finally deleted the Twitter account this week. I had an account since 2008! It's just depressing to see what it's turned into now.

Maybe 4-5 of my friends are still there but it was tough to see their posts with all of the promoted stuff wedged in the middle.

Before #COVID19, I struggled to run a mile a few times a month.

Then I made it up to completing a 5K in about 35-36 minutes.

Now I can clear 50 miles a month.

Start small and keep going. #running 🎽

Many of you said "running slower is harder and it will make you faster" and I didn't believe it. I'm starting to believe it now. 🎽

I tried my hardest to run as slow as I possibly could.

I burned about 5% more calories, finished a little sooner than usual, and did all that in a heat index of 115°F/46°C. I felt out of breath maybe 3-4 times but that usually happens 10+ times in this heat.

Run slower!
