I work in a used books shop and read mostly Science fiction and fantasy, but not exclusively.
I game a bit, but wouldn't call myself a gamer. My favourite game over the past several years is #TheLongDark

Interested, but not very knowledgeable about Walkability, 15 min city, rewilding.

I have some issues with physical pain as well as social anxiety.

Almost halfway through Empire in Black and Gold by @aptshadow and really enjoying it.
It's an audio book, on a streaming service so I fear neither author nor narrator get paid anything (basically).
I'll probably buy the whole series as ebooks later.
It's weird though, I started listening to it a year or so ago and just couldn't get into it and dropped it fairly quickly. So glad I gave it a second chance.

I bought No Man's Sky several years ago (not at release), but never got into it beyond playing a few hours. I'm not sure why, but this week I decided to give it another go, it's a bit overwhelming with how much stuff there is in the game, but I'm having fun. A few YouTube videos have helped a bit. Currently I'm just doing what I feel like, learning slowly and not very focused.
Plan to waste too many hours this weekend in the game.

@iakonkret man kan ha olika åsikter om alla partiers politik och representanter, det är helt ok och ska ju så vara i en fungerande demokrati, men det enda parti som verkligen verkar vilja folk ont är SD, och Jomshof är en av de otäckaste av dem.

so. i think we established i’m a distracted person who hadn’t logged in for a month. did so, couldn’t find my feed, moved from Chrome to Brave & discovered y’all again, grand.

decided in the spirit of recommitment to actually download Mastodon on my phone while i could still remember my damn password. opened the App Store, searched Mastodon, clicked. two apps popped up, in the same purple shade. the second one…Mastodon.

the TOP one was…TruthSocial. i searched FOR Mastodon. frig, App Store.

I may have said this before, but it is amazing how quickly I've not just accepted wine in a screw top bottle, but now get actively irritated when I find one with a real cork and I have to go searching for the corkscrew. I used to hate the idea of wine in a screwtop, and I got super snobby about it too. Past me was a real twerp.

It is guessed that phallic symbols on the streets point towards nearest brothel, to direct foreign sailors who may be heavily intoxicated and/or unable to speak the local language.

@dbsalk that's appreciated. I usually figure it out (option two), but it's not something I know by heart. The largest states that mentioned often in news etc are easy, of course but some I don't get at once.

@inthehands @badastro and if I understood that bit correctly Swedish has a commonly used word for the day-night cycle 'dygn'. (our Scandinavian friends and neighbours have their own versions) A little simpler but not as cool.

I could have sworn that I saw a stamp with an error a few days ago, but can't for the life of me remember what country it was from
